Inn with 3 double bungalows for a maximum of 18 people (3x2, 3x4 people), some with a small kitchen, on the hilltop, rented by the operator. Restaurant open Fri-Sun, breakfast and dinner available for tenants by arrangement.E.g. game goulash with red cabbage and dumplings, Eichsfelder Schlachteplatte!Bungalows are rustic and have everything you need, including a shower and heating, a grill for roasting, coal and a gas burner. 3-4 nights ideal.In cold or rainy weather you may have to meet in one of the bungalows; in mild cases the landlord will also provide a party tent.The service on site was simply spectacular, thanks again to Mr. Busch!Great starting point for groups of 8-18 visitors/hikers through the lovely Eichsfeld, from the Kalimuseum in Bischofferode to Duderstadt or Heiligenstadt, the 9springe brewery with excellent beers and whiskey from our own distillery!! And numerous hiking opportunities. The latter must be planned carefully as they are demanding.A visit to the Bodenstein castles or shop windows is always recommended.Recommended!!

Great and unique. Clean, spacious rooms with high ceilings, the location and the windows for lots of fresh country air. View from the window into the forest over the treetops of the forest. Splendid.At night it is quiet and quiet.You can sleep very well here.Not overcrowded.10x better than any 4/5 star chain hotel.Unfortunately I have to revise my review after the 4 day I spent here.The castle is a tourist attraction and as such is always open and accessible to everyone.So every day tripper comes and, like a walk in the park, he does whatever he likes, children and parents scream, talk loudly and make loud calls on the phone.The noise goes upstairs where the room windows are and they aren't soundproof either.It's almost as if you were in a city park.It's Sunday, 6:40 p.m. Children's screaming for hours.Unfortunately, the peace and quiet that the castle lords once enjoyed here can no longer be found.It's a shame actually. Peace and quiet no longer have any value in our society, only remidemi everywhere.A meditative retreat is impossible here.So it's better to go to the 4/5 star hotel, at least everyone can't make any noise there.

The four of us had lunch at the restaurant today, were served quickly and friendly, and were able to eat well and cheaply outside in comfort. The deer leg was tender, the dumplings and red cabbage were very tasty and plentiful. I personally really liked the salad dressing. There was also nothing negative to report about the pike perch and vegetarian casserole. Except the potatoes didn't taste like home. But something has to be better at home ;)

Rustic restaurant with classic cuisine.The schnitzel was delicious and it came with a nice salad plate.I had ordered a starter soup, but I couldn't eat it until dessert. It was so extremely hot that it burned your tongue. That was a bit annoying.

This excellent location is located. is near Bodenstein Castle. Our hiking group felt right at home here after an interesting hike. Friendly service, all of our wishes were promptly fulfilled. The food was great. Always a recommendation with outdoor seating.
