Booked a single room for one night. When we arrived, the landlady's adult son had to spend about 5 minutes looking for the room key because his mother wasn't there. He then gave me one that he assumed was the one for my room. Then the keys were explained to me backwards. The one for the front door was the room key and vice versa. When we arrived in the room it was clear that the name of the restaurant was reflected in the room. The room was not prepared and therefore freezing cold. And I couldn't believe it, the bathroom was even colder. When I turned the heater on, I noticed that it wasn't heating well because it obviously needed to be vented urgently, which was indicated by an extremely loud gurgling noise. When I wanted to wash my fingers after using the toilet, the bottle that I thought was soap turned out to be disinfectant spray. So, unpleasantly, I had to unpack my shower gel first. When I asked the innkeeper's son about the missing soap later at dinner, the only answer I got was that there should actually be one. He would take care of it. After dinner I noticed that no soap had found its way into the bathroom. I didn't get any from the landlord either. Maybe it was because his cell phone activities were more important? The food was okay so far. Even though it wasn't on the menu, I got a trout when I asked. Unfortunately there were no boiled potatoes. So I had to take the fried potatoes that were offered. These looked very crispy (frozen?), but were extremely soft because they were bathed in oil. I woke up several times during the night because I was quite cold despite the blanket. The next morning I woke up with cold symptoms, so I canceled my planned visit to relatives because I didn't want to infect anyone. The pillow on the bed didn't really deserve its name either. Luckily there were two decorative cushions in the closet that I could use to help. I found the price for the room on the website to be pleasantly inexpensive, but after I had to experience this loveless behavior towards me as a guest, it turned out to be too expensive. Conclusion! I won't be staying here again, but I hope the owners read this and improve it for future guests.

A nice beer garden on the bike path. We got a delicious schnitzel and chanterelles on Sunday at 4 p.m. Plus a cool drink. Perfect for a stop on your bike tour. Like no frills. Simple and delicious and would love to make it again. The Milseburg cycle path is a real recommendation.

Today, good home-style cooking without a lot of chichi. The village restaurant is as classic as you would imagine and as it was 30 to 40 years ago, it's nice that something like this still exists, you almost feel like you're in another world. The ambience is a bit old-fashioned and the table decorations could also be a little more up to date. The menu is small and clear, there is no drinks menu. Our food was consistently great, fresh ingredients and no finished products. You get 3 stars for the food and if the ambience is refreshed, you get one or two points more.

One has the impression that the world stopped here a few decades ago. Don't get me wrong - I come from the (Bavarian) Rhön myself and am therefore not overly demanding, but you should at least keep up with the times if you want to welcome and satisfy guests. The food doesn't blow your mind either, but it tastes okay and is probably freshly prepared. The prices of the dishes are certainly regionally appropriate, but unfortunately a little too high for what is on offer. A side salad (from the buffet at least) also costs extra. Conclusion: If you happen to be nearby and are hungry or thirsty, it's okay, but otherwise unfortunately not worth the further journey.

You feel really comfortable here. The beer garden at the Kühlen Grund is simply in a Cyrillic location, with no annoying traffic noise. …

Home-style cooking........ large schnitzel with pomfrit €8.90....... in the summer you can sit wonderfully in the beer garden...... there is also a play area for the children..... .. very popular with cyclists who go on a Rhön bike tour... I can recommend it with a clear conscience.
