EDIT: SINCE THE OWNER SAID MY REVIEW WAS FAKE: We DID pay 500 for 4 nights then an extra 184EURO after checking out because of sales taxes, for tourism taxes, electricity costs, cleaning costs etc. etc. etc. if you are charging the guests for electricity might as well just put an A/C in there! we didn't even use the cleaning service once. We assumed that all rooms come with A/C bc in most countries they know that it is a necessity not a luxury. What the owner calls polite it's the bare minimum in other countries anyway, because if that was amazingly friendly, polite, and helpful then... pffft. We thought we could enjoy the hotel so we didn't care about the location, but since the stay wasn't enjoyable then it wasn't even worth it and all i wanted to do was leave, so that was inconvenient in the end because it's far away from everything.ANOTHER THING: The sauna only opens from 10a..m. until 8:00p.m. or so during weekdays... so basically when you are out of the hotel... but no worries if you missed the sauna just lock yourself in your room. This is NOT a fake review.I'm not hating on ALL Germans, just the ones in the service industry, because they think that someone owes them something. If you ask something they act annoyed as if it is your fault that you need help. Just the fact that they -just- do their job it's what should be expected, no more, no less. The people at check-in were courteous yes, but didn't even tell us that the drinks in the fridge were free, only at checkout we were told... very sneaky. If you call ANY German customer service you will even have them screaming at you, it's just the way they deal with the world, they don't know how to regulate their emotions and it's like a kindergarden with them... always angry and fighting or giving stares.ORIGINAL POST THAT THE OWNER CALLED FAKE:I don't know what is luxurious about burning up in your room with no air conditioner in the middle of global warming..paying 500Euro for 4 nights, then 184 in tourist taxes just to stay dehydrated... no thanks. The location is beautiful yada yada, but very far away from everything so you always need a taxi. I thought I would spend more time in the hotel but in summer all I wanted to do was run away... Also don't expect much of customer service... Germans are not known for it. Just a hello and goodbye, someone needs to give them the definition of the word: service, the adjective: servicial and the verb: to serve. If you work in the service industry help guests with their bags if they're heavy, don't follow guests around explaining them the rules of breakfast in a condescending tone, in other countries this would never happen in a 4-star hotel. We would also say hello when we would enter and had no response... no one teaches this people to smile. The rooms were hot but no worry, the Germans are cold.

Overall a very good, cozy hotel. But this time I was somewhat disappointed when I noticed that my room was not cleaned for several days. At the reception I was told that the hotel had received a climate protection certificate. And now the rooms are cleaned only every fourth day. I don’t quite understand how the fact that the trash isn’t taken out of my room for three days has anything to do with the fight for a clean climate. At the same time, the room rate has become even more expensive.

We went to the day spa and it was absolutely incredible. The receptionist was kind and sweet and made our day so relaxing and wonderful, the facilities were beautiful and so relaxing, and the wellness cocktails were so gorgeous. I had an amazing time, and left feeling so relaxed and happy! Thank you so much for such an amazing time <3

We have only been there for a workshop/conference and didn't sleep there. It feels like it has become an old hotel. I guess it was once the place to be in town. Everything was clean. The food was OK but not great.

Easy check in. Elegant dinner with a large drink list and attentive service. The spa is on point with many services to choose from. Gorgeous outdoor swimming pool with grasses and Lilly pads incorporated which made us feel like we were at a lake in the countryside. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely hotel. It’s a little (uphill) walk from the tram or you can take a taxi from town. It’s nice to be set in the park. Rooms are smallish and basic. The spa/pool are great. Has both an indoor and outdoor pool. Breakfast is really good. Dinner is lacking for the price. Service was mostly good. There is a beer garden on weekends that is nice. On Wednesday and Saturdays in the summer, you can hike up to see waterfalls activated (they are only on for about 10 min, so get there on time!) I would come here again, and recommend it…

Nice hotel beautifully located on a hill close to the Wilhelmshöhe Palace. The hotel has several wings where are the hotel rooms. From the hotel there’s a wonderful view over Kassel. …

Booked this last minute for a few days' break. Great location in the park. Easy parking (8 Euro per day). Friendly staff, and very quick room cleaning (every time right after we left). Very clean place. …

The hotel itself is placed near a wonderful park with an old castle. |The staff at arrival was smiling and friendly but at departure the staff wasn’t smiling and was anonymous. …
