sorry but we can almost only write negative things. The breakfast can be described reasonably well, although if you come later you are out of luck and nothing is added. The rest is just negative!!! Dinner for 7 Days was a great read, but as we all know, paper is patient. On the Sunday arrival day, almost raw potatoes, a Kassler cutlet 7 cm long, 2 mm thick, hard as the sole of a shoe, no matter what was on the table in the evening, it was minimalist. But the positive thing is that you can't gain weight here. I cook on a completely different level at home. Drink price way too expensive! But the worst thing is the sagging mattresses where you could feel the spring of these old mattresses and had to rub yourself with pain gel every morning. You should get compensation for that. No cell phone reception. And you should pay for WiFi. Mini TV. No possibility to drink anything in the hotel during the day. nobody there!!! But we weren't the only ones who weren't happy! I've been to a lot of hotels both for business and pleasure, but me and my wife will quickly forget that. One wonders how the good reviews come about. But maybe we just had a bad week.

Nice little hotel. The rooms are simply but neatly furnished. Breakfast and dinner were perfect. Unfortunately there is no restaurant where you can have a drink.

Great place to relax. Everything slows down a gear. Good quality restaurant. Accommodation has seen the best of times. Still recommended!

Dinner - tastes like it comes from a can! Breakfast a little better - but everything is of supermarket quality, nothing freshly made!! |The room could do with a renovation, especially the furniture. …

It's not a problem for younger people. Although the roomwas handicapped accessible, that isHotel can only be reached by car and is isolated from the environment. No cell phone reception, those responsible cannot be reached on weekends if there are problems.

The external appearance of the building is not good - there was only a very small TV in the room and it was very coldBreakfast and dinner were okay - unfortunately the view from the guest room is not nice, thanks to the dying forests in the Thuringian Forest - a bare mountain (that's what it looks like in almost the entire Schwarzatal) - the owner doesn't make the best impression either - always walks with you Undershirt around, even when he's serving the guests

If you are looking for peace, nature, relaxation and recreation, the Berghotel Mellenbach is a great place to stay! Price performance is top! The rooms are large, bright, friendly and very clean. We had half board, which means a 3-course menu and everything was very tasty because they cook their own food, so nothing from the microwave! We enjoyed the peace and quiet on the terrace. All employees and the boss were friendly and accommodating! We felt very comfortable. We can't understand the bad reviews!
