Schlemmerstube Kolkwitz - Pension und Restaurant

Nice and cozy. Rooms are not large and some showers have no doors or any type of closure. No nice view but the place is cozy and they serve decent food. The breakfast doesn't have a lot of options but it's tasty.Personel is friendly but not all of them speak english. A pretty stupid 8 month old german dog is guarding the whole place and whants to play 24/7 with you.

Were on July 4th.With the travel company H&H in the Schlemmerstube. The food offered was super tasty, real home cooking. The tour through the cowshed was very interesting and educational. Thanks

Very nicely located restaurant in Gossmar, which is lovingly and carefully run by its owner, Ms. Kolkwitz. As soon as we got off the bus we were greeted with a lovely Hulunder liqueur and were shown to a large table of arts and crafts in a beautifully landscaped courtyard. When explaining the goods, reference was made to the in-house sales kiosk, which sells its own slaughter products and jams in jars. The design of the interior rooms is based on previous village life in an emphatically rural, rustic manner with great attention to detail, for a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Asparagus was eaten pure and in several dishes to accompany German cuisine, the finest was served here, where everyone got their own taste. The prepared tables were full of delicious food and beautiful table decorations; You can say that nothing was left to be desired and the offer exceeded any hunger. Thank you again for your many preparations and your diligent dedication in serving your many guests, who were then eager to buy and thank you for your farm offerings. We had lunch and coffee here on the bus to the alpacas. An excellent meal and great service. You could tell that there was love for the job and the homeland. A big thank you and continued success.

Went with 2 large buses (80 people) to eat asparagus. Great organization and very good food. Smooth process without waiting times! 👍

Eating in the Schlemmerstube is recommended. Good value for money and sufficiently large portions.However, if you find yourself in the accommodation on the ground floor of the "Schlemmerstube Kolkwitz" guesthouse, you'll need a good heart not to go completely crazy. Or you are a smoker, because for smokers this covered courtyard in the middle of the rented rooms with all of them wobbly chairs and benches, the always dirty tables with doubtfully replaceable fabric tablecloths, the only adornment of which are 4 mostly full ashtrays, must be pure paradise. Bad luck for non-smokers, there are ashtrays there - so get out the butts. Of course, this not only applies to smoking guesthouse guests but also to restaurant guests in tour groups - wonderful. No window can be opened in the stuffy rooms downstairs. You can of course open the door to the smoking courtyard, even at night. But if you prefer to sleep with the window open, leave the bathroom door open. There is no soap or shower gel in the bathrooms, hairdryers are a matter of luck, towels are only changed after repeated requests. Friends of Hitchcock's Psycho will get their money's worth when they get to know the always sticky shower curtain. It's almost a shame that Mr. Bates doesn't come over.The room prices per night at 55 single rooms and 80 double rooms are a disgrace and a complete rip-off, even with breakfast. If the lower apartments are not rented out as a tourist trap, as is our case, the same rooms serve as much cheaper fitter's apartments, as the cleaner accidentally confessed to us.The accommodations one floor higher, however, are definitely usable. The quality of the breakfast is at least above the level of a worn-out youth hostel, because the offering is tried hard and good - and saves us 2 stars overall.
