Very beautiful and very clean houses.Also the park outdoors is very beautiful and designed with nature in mind.However this beauty appeals mostly to the adults. Our kids like playing outdoors a lot and they don’t need a lot to enjoy themselves. They like climbing, playing in the water, building huts with branches, spotting insects, etc. However when we were there (2017), none of the lawns were mown. Not very inviting to leave the trails (Regarding ticks).For the same reason, there were not many places where they could enter the bachläufen.Of course not all the grass should be mown, i understand that. You want to get the flowers, bees, butterflies, hiding places for other animals, etc. But it would be nice if there could be some attention for the kids, i think the outdoors were designed with a little bit too much of an adult viewpoint, and I think this is not intentional by the owners.Although, this could already have changed in the mean time since 2017.The next door outdoor swimming pool (free for guests) has a very nice and friendly atmosphere, Although it did some days stay closed also with reasonable / fair weather, that was a pity.The house was spotless and contained everything one might possibly need. Even the pots and pans were still of good quality (that is rare in holiday parks). Also we were received exceptionally friendly at the reception.So in my opinion, the number of stars depends on the composition of your family...

Ferienhaus Lichtung is a nice and quit holiday home. The homes have modern furniture and are very clean. The big glass front gives view to the beautiful forest. Nice service rounds up the very recommendable experience.

At the end of May I went racing cycling in the Harz with my daughter and we had the pleasure of staying overnight in the “Ferienhaus Lichtung”. The house was perfectly designed for 2 people and even offered a sauna. It is located in a beautiful, quiet area, surrounded by lots of forest and nature, with several small houses, all well separated from each other, so you have a lot of privacy.There was a small stream flowing directly behind our house, which we used to cool off after our sauna sessions - simply wonderful! The house itself is fantastically equipped, clean and bright, with a cozy fireplace that creates a wonderful atmosphere.I can't remember the last time we vacationed in such a beautiful and quiet place. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful. All thumbs up, we'll definitely be back!

We stayed in one of the holiday homes for a week. The house was very clean and functionally furnished. The floor-to-ceiling windows are very nice, but the house gets very warm very quickly when the sun is shining (there are roller blinds on the inside, no shading on the outside). What we really missed: an oven. The houses have a microwave with a grill function, but no baking function. Therefore - as others have already noted - a bread roll service would be great, as a bakery is not within walking distance.The distance between the individual houses is very good, you don't notice much of the neighbors.The facility is very well maintained. There are shopping opportunities (not within walking distance) in Ruhla.

5 days in Ruhla in the holiday home Lichtung No. 3 with sauna and fireplace. Great location, in the middle of the forest. If you want to book the mobile massage: do so directly when booking the house, Juliane is usually fully booked months in advance.There are enough running routes, although they are quite steep. ;-) The house is well equipped and was sparkling clean, there wasn't even any lint under the beds or any dirt on the high-gloss fronts. The only thing you need is shower gel/shampoo, otherwise everything is there. The houses are all next to each other, but you don't get in each other's way or look at each other's plates. Car can park at the house. Great terrace with garden furniture and a grill, garbage cans right next to the house, glasses and cardboard are collected near reception. Bus stop right in front of the street. In Ruhla there is a Rewe and various bakers. Great excursion destinations in the area for families and/or hikers. We recommend it!

Great holiday home complex with very clean, bright and well-equipped holiday homes. Enough distance from the other houses, lots of privacy. In the middle of the beautiful forest. There are lots of things to do in the area or you can just come down and relax in the house! Nice staff and great service, we'll be back!

Now I would finally like to say a big thank you to the Mörstedt family and his entire team. I have been coming to the Lichtung holiday home for many years, first with my dear husband, now with my sister, even twice a year. Here you can be in the wonderful nature Let your mind wander. The complex and the holiday homes are very clean and well-kept, there is a lot of work behind it. You are also welcomed in a very friendly manner. It is always difficult for us to go home again, but we will come back. Thank you again, your holidaymakers from Erfurt Viola and Bettina
