The best family vacation for us and our children! We went there for the first time in September 2023. Our children, especially the older ones, were thrilled! In addition to the games (swing, sandpit, trampoline), the children and parents took care of the calves and chickens as part of their daily routine. Our daughter, who was rather skeptical about animals, was involved in the daily care. After the holiday it was immediately clear that we would book again, which we also did for Easter 2024.It's fun to be involved on the farm. And you are also asked to do so.What can you say, we weren't disappointed! Big thanks to you Sonja!!!We are very happy to positively recommend this farm. 6 stars +We'll be backGreetings from Dortmund

Our stay in April 2024 at the Asmussen holiday farm was an unforgettable experience on a real, active farm. From the moment we entered the farm we felt like part of a big, warm family. The hospitality and warmth shown to us by Sonja and Oke far exceeded our expectations. Their love and dedication to farming can be felt in every detail, from the careful care of the animals to the loving design of the cozy accommodations. We were particularly thrilled that we were able to actively participate in farm life. Feeding the curious calves and two hand-reared lambs and collecting fresh eggs from the chicken coop were not only fun activities, but also gave us a deeper understanding of the importance of agriculture and connection to nature. It wasn't just our children (8 and 11) who enjoyed it. We adults were also able to get involved and learn a lot. A visit to the milking parlor, moving a newborn calf and accompanying us on a pasture were just some of the highlights during our stay. Our children were also thrilled by the barn full of fun vehicles (pedal tractors, large carts, skateboards...) and of course by the riding lesson. Nadine and Kristin, you did so well, took so much time and gave the children unforgettable moments - thank you very much! The accommodation on the farm is very comfortable, with every detail designed to ensure guests have a relaxing and carefree stay. We lived in the small holiday apartment. The highlight of this little oasis was undoubtedly the breathtaking roof terrace, from which we could enjoy a great view of the stables and the vast landscape while having breakfast (there were fresh rolls at the door every morning).Overall, I can fully recommend the Asmussen holiday farm. For anyone looking for a break from hectic everyday life and longing for authentic experiences surrounded by nature, this place is a true paradise. We booked again straight away! Thank you Sonja, Oke, Nadine, Kristin and Okke!

A farm for a lovely family holiday. The apartment was nice and big and everything you needed was there. If you wish, fresh bread rolls can be left on your door early. There was also fresh milk and eggs. The entire Asmussen family are good hosts. The children can explore the farm (please do not leave small children alone, cattle are quite large animals) and help with feeding and collecting the eggs from the chickens. The milking parlor was also explained to us and the children were allowed to help. Riding and riding on the tractor 🚜 was also possible. But what our children loved most was petting the cats and the two dogs.We have already been there twice and our children aged 10 and 16 were thrilled and our older one would also come again. There is also a lot to do in the area or just enjoy the surroundings.

We've been coming here for a few years. It is simply perfect for families, not only because there are so many adventure opportunities in the area, but there is also a lot to discover on the farm. The evening feeding session with Sonja is a must and not to be missed. The children can ride ponies, feed cows, look for eggs, and drive tractors and carts. Adults can also help with the farm work. We always feel very comfortable in the cozy, clean and beautifully furnished holiday apartments. We look forward to being able to be there again soon.Absolute recommendation!!! We give it 6 starsKind regards, the Herold family

Perfect holiday for the family, but also a perfect starting point for excursions in North Frisia without children. A farm that can still bear the title. We have been coming for 12 years and will continue to do so for a while.

Hello, I was on the farm with my grandchildren this year.I have to say, it was a great vacationThe apartment was large, clean and well-kept, the hostel family was very friendly, very approachable and my granddaughter always demanded to be on the farm at 5 p.m. on time to help with feeding. A special highlight was the birth of two calves. My grandson has plenty of space to run around and find lots of opportunities to play.He was out until nightfall and beyond. My grandchildren were thrilled, I can only recommend the farm if you want to relax. My daughter-in-law's washing machine had its hands full afterwards, but she got happy children again.T.H. from Kiel

We spent two lovely weeks here at the end of July/beginning of August. Quaint holiday apartment, a great host family and a "real" farm experience: participation in feeding various animals in the afternoon was desired and vehemently requested by our 3 - even older - children when we were out on excursions. Also very nice: not just normal pony riding, but "real" riding lessons from the hosts' middle daughter. Also just a wonderful environment to relax in. We'll definitely be back! ;-)

We spent 2 wonderful weeks on vacation on the Asmussen family's farm. There is so much to do there, the children can take part in the feeding in the afternoon. As a parent, you also have the opportunity to relax because the farm is far away from busy roads and the children can play carefree. We definitely enjoyed the vacation very much.

We have been guests at the farm for the third year in a row and can only recommend it.No mass tourism, which is very relaxing for me. The hosts are super friendly. Questions are answered and everything is explained.Pony riding is possible, tractor driving is possible, there is a garage available with vehicles (large carts, pedal tractors), the children can feed the animals and look for eggs with the boss in the evening. The holiday apartments are very well equipped so that you can move there yourself. There are several options for excursions in the area. Our twins would love to come back next year.

Large farm with many animals. With cows, sheep, rabbits, horses, cats, dogs, chickens and ducks. There are also goats on the site that we didn't see. We lived in one of the apartments in October 2020. We really liked it. The children are also given work to do - they help in the evening when feeding the calves and collecting eggs. The place is not noisy at all. There are bicycles, pedal cars and other “vehicles” such as skateboards. They can be safely used while on vacation. You can also buy milk and eggs from the hosts, who are friendly and kind, and also order rolls. You can also ride one of the horses, just don’t forget to take your helmet with you! Our apartment was small, but cozy. There is a kitchen-living room, a bathroom-toilet and two bedrooms. There is also a second apartment. Great time! Thanks to the Asmussen family for working on the farm, kindness and good apartments! We recommend!
