We stayed here while attending a wedding and had a wonderful experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food was excellent—both the wedding meal and the morning breakfast were delicious, with a great selection to start the day. Our room was very comfortable and well-appointed, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d happily return. Highly recommended!

A Wonderful Experience at The Moat House, Acton TrussellOur experience at The Moat House in Acton Trussell was wonderful from start to finish, beginning with the booking process. The events team was incredibly helpful throughout the email correspondence, answering all my questions with ease and making the entire booking process for our group of 16 a breeze. From the moment we arrived, the staff, led by the fantastic Manager Marie and our lovely waitress Evie, made us feel so welcome. Every member of the waiting staff who attended to us was attentive and professional, adding to the seamless service throughout the afternoon. We were seated in the stunning Trussell Suite, which was beautifully set up and had an incredible atmosphere. It was the perfect setting for our gathering, with everyone from my 90-year-old grandparents to the toddlers in the group having a fabulous time. My sister, who was the guest of honour, was truly surprised and delighted by the whole experience. The food was an absolute treat—delicious and plentiful! Every dish was enjoyed, and the team went above and beyond to cater to all allergies and dietary requirements with ease. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, which made the afternoon all the more enjoyable. The only downside to the day is that we don't live close enough to make The Moat House our regular spot, but rest assured, we will definitely be back for future special occasions. Thank you for making our afternoon so memorable!

Just had my daughter's wedding at the Moat House and can honestly say the place is superb. The wedding planner Vicky went out of her way to make us all welcome and the day went without a hitch. The rooms are great. The staff were all pleasant and welcoming and the food was fantastic. All in all I would very highly recommend this place especially if you are planning your wedding. You won't be disappointed in any way. Give it a go it's brilliant.

Had previously stayed here a number of years ago, and must admit that the standard is still as good as it was last time. We had 2 nights in a four poster room (130) with lovely views over the canal. …

First time staying at the Moat House. We had an unexpected room upgrade (however this review certainly isn't based on the upgrade) and we ended up in the Pagent suite which is a beautiful room with patio doors that lead onto the side of the …

The staff are lovely, helpful, polite and attentive. Our room, although large had a large collection of spiders in it. The tea/coffee offerings are a bit dire, not to say sparse and cheap. …

Stopped here with my father while on a biking trip. The hotel went above and beyond by allowing us to keep our bikes in one of the conference rooms. Rooms were spacious and nice. Food was brilliant in the restaurant, one of the best meals we have had. The bar was a nice place to be with plenty of drinks to offer

This venue hosted my Niece's wedding. Whilst things ran a little later than planned the experience was still a good one. My Niece looked radiant as usual and the gardens and the lake were absolutely amazing. The function coordinator did a good job and was very helpful. The room we stayed in had a headboard that went to the ceiling and was studded and covered in luxurious satin. The bed was comfortable although I did feel a little uncomfortable with my pillow and by the time I got to bed it was too late to really care about it.The food was absolutely amazing and once again the functions manager noted that I couldn't eat pork and came with a menu to choose from a selection of other main meals on the menu. The breakfast was just as good the next morning although someone forgot to take our hot beverage order so we had to request our tea and coffee but the young lady was apologetic about the mistake and made sure to get things sorted. All in all a great time. Thanks to all the staff who worked so hard to make this day a memorable one in more ways than one.🥂♥️💝🦆🥃🎀
