Too many issues for just a one night stay.||I must stress though - the staff were all extremely nice. ||First problem - the car park. …

I booked a double room for one night. Staff were very welcoming on reception explained how the car park worked. Plenty of car parking spaces available. My room was spotlessly clean and when I asked for more coffee, milk and sugar I was given it without being questioned.Breakfast in the morning was great choices of continental or hot, plenty to choose from. Hot drinks machine where you could get whatever drink you wanted. Fresh orange juice (this definitely wasn't watered down as I had read in previous reviews) There's a little pub next door if you fancied a drink or something to eat which also gets good reviews.I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely book here again.

I booked a double room for one night. On arrival I was given a code to put into the machine for parking this gives you 24 hours at a cost of £12.00. …

I had a great stay here for a business meeting. The location is further than you might expect from both the NEC and train station if traveling on foot. The room I stayed in was spacious and had everything I needed including a very large comfortable bed. The staff were excellent and there was a complimentary continental style breakfast included.

Overall, very good. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was a good size, quiet and with blackout curtains. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The bathroom was quite small with no bath, however the shower was powerful and warm with toiletries provided.Breakfast was good, but could be improved by offering meat alternatives such as Quorn sausages. The coffee was unpleasant and I did not finish it - please invest in some decent coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful, and not overbearing which was appreciated. The hotel is well located and there are restaurants and other venues about 1 mile away.I would stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during the Horse of the Year Show and had a wonderful experience. It was our second time staying here, and we will definitely be back next year! The room was basic but had everything we needed, and it was clean and comfortable. What really stood out was the excellent service from the staff – they were all so welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was lovely, with a good variety of options to start our day off right. Overall, a great experience, perfect location for HOYS, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

Cannot fault this hotel or the staff. Had a slight issue with our room but Achim who is just amazing and a credit to the hotel sorted it very quickly and professionally. Breakfast was really good, compliments to the chef. Every member of staff we have seen have been so friendly. Rooms are clean and well presented, a big thank you to housekeeping for that. We would 100% stay here again. The biggest thank you and appreciation does go to Achim though, such a lovely, kind and caring young man.

I recently stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, and while the experience was generally okay, there were a few aspects worth mentioning. Upon arrival, I was surprised to learn that I had to pay £12 for parking each night, which I found a bit steep for a hotel like this. It wasn't something I had anticipated when booking. The check-in process was fairly smooth, though I was unexpectedly assigned a disabled room. This was confusing since I hadn't requested it. Thankfully, after bringing this to the staff's attention, they did change my room. However, this was an inconvenience that could have been avoided with better attention to detail. The new room was fine—clean and functional, but nothing to write home about. It was your standard, no-frills accommodation. Everything worked, but there was nothing particularly special that stood out.Overall, the stay was satisfactory, but between the surprise parking charges and the mix-up with the room, it felt a bit below expectations. If you're looking for a basic, reliable place to stay, it will do the job, but don't expect anything remarkable.
