I understand this was a low rate to pay but I would still expect a reasonable standard, which it absolutely wasn’t. |I am shocked at the state of room I was in. …

If I could give a minus I would. So I will start with check in. Codes to get into rooms. Booked two rooms as were a family of five. Got the first single room. Drug packets on the floor. Soaking wet towels on the bed. …

We stayed at this hotel as this was the only one available (now I can see why) when you arrive you have to call a number to get someone to reception. Carpets and furniture are very dated there are Christmas decorations up! …

Bonairé Hotel… Wow. What an experience.Have you ever been camping? This is wayyy better than camping! Let’s start with the highlight of our room. The shower was hot and steamy, as I closed my eyes and heard the wind battering against the thin walls, I imagined I was in a sauna in Norway… though the pubes stuck to the shower wall did attempt to break me out of this fantasy. With a bit of a stretch of the imagination, this place is not too far from Disneyland (Paris). We did have a little bit of an issue getting into our room, however this problem was quickly resolved by our remote hotel worker, all the way from the big smoke! (Over the phone(In London, a 24 hour service - i may add!)). It would be a crime to state that the aroma of the room was enjoyable. It did, however, take me back to my half hour spent in the Marseille terminal indoor smoking box, a memorable experience. If you are a fan of David Spielberg’s ‘The shining’ you will not be disappointed by the time encapsulating carpets that cover the flooring of the numerous and slightly askew corridors that wind through the Bonairẽ. The cherry on top of this 80s time capsule is hard to pin point, the floral curtain motif, the trim on the lampshade or perhaps the absence of batteries in the tv remote, which forced us to take a leaf out of our grandparents book and use our imagination to come up with other ways to entertain ourselves while attempting to find the rare pure oxygen pockets which flowed in from the window. Hence this review. The singular coffee mug provided created a unique bonding experience for my partner and I, it felt somewhat ritualistic, passing the cup back and forth for a sip of coffee in the morning. When it came to sleeping the mattress was firm yet did provide an acceptable level of comfort. However, I would not recommend moving around too much once you have found a comfortable position in which to sleep, we had a lot of luck with the foetal position here. Moving around in the bed did cause a level of distress for myself and my partner, as the air trapped within the pillow would be released, exposing the both of us to what I can only assume is years of second hand cigarette smoke which had been marinading within the pillows, silently biding it’s time. It is clear to the both of us, to our delight, that the owners of the Bonairê hotel care deeply for the environment, by removing the option of using the hot tap, we definitely curbed our water consumption by a noticeable margin. Overall our stay at the Boner Hotel left us feeling appreciative of the vast availability of fresh oxygen in the outside air and allowed us to practice gratitude for the things we take for granted in our everyday lives. For £40 a night we couldn’t be happier with the value for money we received

This is not a hotel, it is the most awful place I have ever seen. People smoking weed, smoke alarms covered up. Awful management. It is filthy, smelly and dangerous. Not a safe place for children. It needs selling to someone who can turn it back into a nice hotel. Online photos are not up to date. Any good review would be fake.

Absolutely vile place to stay! Nothing was working, tv, air con! Lights falling out the walls, all ceilings and walls have cracks down them! The buck beds looked and felt like they was going to fall apart. Everything was dirty, didn’t even have a cup of tea cause cups not been washed. Carpets stained and the strong smell of cannabis throughout the building. As for staff, one was sat down in the conservatory when we got there, no idea he worked there, and then never seen another member of staff! Honestly do not stay here!!!
