This place is absolutely great. Way better than you’d expect for the price, and a hostel. Exceptional Geordie hospitality from Mark, who was really friendly and helpful. Good bar, clean room, and the double bed was very comfortable (I have a very bad back). I take ear plugs wherever I travel, but they don’t block out all noise and it wasn’t too bad.

The whole hotel was brilliant and inviting, the decor of the rooms being modern and the bar area a more retro vibe, which was a nice contrast with how the building was laid out. From being off the main road, it was pretty quiet traffic-wise with also being near a highway. Our stay was really convenient and brilliant on value for money with near £200 for two nights and being so near the centre of Newcastle.Definitely worth the money and would stay again 100%

Great stay in a quiet, enjoyable, and well-located spot. The room seemed recently refurbished, and the bed was super comfortable (better than many 4-star hotels). The bar downstairs was a great bonus with a great food offer with their baos and live event! The team really looked after us.

4 stars out of 5 as I've never used the rooms in this venue so I can't comment on them. Great customer service, clean and maintained toilets and a good selection of music playing throughout the bar area. The Bao buns and selection of sides are delicious and well worth the money, always hot and fresh with plenty of fillings. The bar has a good selection of drinks and there's a decent happy hour 16:00-20:00 on a daily basis. Sport on TV and a pool table available. Definitely worth calling in when you're in the city centre

Rooms were brilliant, the only downside was that we were travelling as 2 adults and a minor but the bed for the child was just inconvenient (being a bunk bed) all beds were extremely comfy though! The bathroom was really nice, shower took a bit of time to work out but we got there in the end 😂. Everything functioned perfectly almost, including nightlights next to each bed. The TV unfortunately didn’t work, but that didn’t matter as we had our own entertainment (I think it was an issue with the remote in room 111).The service was lovely! Everyone was kind and respectful as-well as everything being explained in perfectly clear detail. The only issue was guests being loud past 11pm but when we complained we were told that the night audits will do extra patrols ☺️, we experienced no noise issues after that.

I stayed here with my partner and my daughter for the weekend, staff were all so kind and helpful. Clean rooms and very comfortable beds! Food we had in the restaurant for dinner was unreal😍 I would say this place to stay is perfect for families, couples and solo. I will be staying again thank you and most definitely recommend! X

Came for food and drinks over the bank holiday. The food was quick and tasty. Plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans, for a small menu there was lots of variety. the staff and drinks were great too. The staff that served us were really helpful and helped us choose our drinks

A whole load of Donegal boys (and one token Scottish man) checked in here. We were on a stag weekend and this hostel with its central location was really good. Rooms with bunk beds do what you need. Bar is good and big. Staff are a good help and always happy to help. For a budget led break in Newcastle I highly recommend.

We had a private room which was absolutely perfect for what we needed! Stayed here for my birthday and mark and Meg made it extra special! From a happy birthday welcome to a birthday drink! Mark is definitely a 5* host! Very friendly and welcoming! Meg was lovely and they both couldn’t do enough for us! Would definitely recommend

A really pleasant suprise when arriving. We were a little dubious as the price was so cheap. We got a private room for 4 and it was so good! Very clean and the beds were super comfy! The bathroom is very small but that wasn’t a problem for us. You are so close to the Centre of Newcastle and so close to everything. Really happy with our stay here. We also found it to be quiet too which is a bonus!
