When we arrived at The President ive got to say I was surprised at how small the reception area was for such a large hotel. Hotel is dated and needs LOTS of TLC. Our twin room was tiny but very clean. Beds were soooo comfy!  …

Food and staff are brillant very accommodating. We had a large party of 11 and the set us a long table so we could all sit together. Nothing was too much trouble. The chef and waiting staff were fantastic polite, happy. …

The hotel smells unclean. After you leave reception and they take full payment on arrival. We had 4 rooms in total. My daughters sheets and duvet cover had hairs and stains on. She asked for new sheets a couple of times. Still asking at midnight before they went to laundry to get some. Brother in laws room had lots of holes punched in walls and cracks in walls. When using lift. The lift stopped at floor but was about 1.5 foot higher than floor and opened, sister in law walked out and fell badly. Reported to reception they didn't care. Didn't put in accident book until we demanded it and took photo of accident book for our records. Mother in laws room had no working light in bathroom, toilet leaking, bad smell. We were told to open a window. With much discussion and refusing to leave reception my son got them to move mother in law. They didn't want to move her as its a better quality room with working lights ! Carpets stank all over corridors not just of dog but also weed smell. Place needs fumigating. Breakfast not great but edible. Coffee so weak in tiny sachets was like coloured water. Fried eggs ok. Just don't stay here. Entertainment promised on Monday evening did not happen. Location for tram across road best thing about hotel. Staff in dining room very helpful thank you. Shame about reception very unwilling to help. Duvets made me feel itchy, might have been the washing powder as was not bitten. AVOID. ! If you want to cancel after checking in cancellation fee is full price of your room.

I’ve recently returned after a 3 day stay at this hotel..The staff in all areas were a delight! All extremely pleasant and helpful. The room I had was clean and comfortable. The bed was so comfy.I got a great nights sleep! The en-suite shower was powerful and could be adjusted to my own comfort level. The bedding was clean and towels were changed daily if I required it and the bin was emptied in my room every day.Kettle & Tv all in working order.I had a sea view room and it was spectacular! The breakfast and evening meals were phenomenal! It was a self serve eat as much as you want banquet and dining area was spotless!Great evening entertainment with a very cold glass of wine was enjoyable.I will definitely be making a return trip!Well done to all the staff and a huge thanks for a memorable stay 🙌😊

My wife and I spent two nights in this hotel and in our opinion the hotel needs refurbishing inside and outside. The outside walls and many of the windows need repainting and any damaged plaster work renewed, also the windows need cleaning. Outside advertising posters need to be renewed some being damaged. Car parking at the hotel is limited. On entering the reception area there was a pungent smell which wasn't very pleasant. The reception staff member was polite and gave us our room key and information paperwork for our visit. We were direct to the stairs or lift to take us to our room which was on the third floor. We used the lift which was small only able to take a maximum of three people. There were warning notices in the area around the lift door to operate the lift correctly or the lift wouldn't work. After existing the lift with our luggage we found our room. The room was scruffy with cracked plaster and marked walls. It contained a double and a single bed with other furniture, towels being provided. On viewing the small bathroom it was found to be in order apart from the shower base unit which had dirty deposits in various places. On viewing the bedroom we found in various places that the floor was uneven with the floor boards moving. The carpet near the bathroom had a large split in it exposing the floor boards. The dated stand alone double cupboard had cloths hangers but the back of the cupboard was coming away exposing nails!! The laminated at the front of the dressing table was missing exposing the chipboard. Both bedside tables were damaged. A curtain was hanging loose from the rail. A positive note, the bed was comfortable, but generally the room was in a poor state of repair. The English breakfast buffet was good, the staff very welcoming. There is a large entertaining room with a bar with plenty of tables and chairs, but a large number of chairs were in poor state of repair. We should have left the hotel and asked for a refund but we had other family members in the hotel, whom we are in know doubt will have their complaints to tell. In myopinion the owner(s) of this hotel need to completely refurbish the building and bring it to a higher standard that Blackpool demands. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone, you have been warned....

This hotel needs some serious refurbishment, 16 of us stayed here and every room was dirty and needed repair. Some didn’t have towels and hadn’t been cleaned at all. Great location and bar however!

Our third stay... chose a sea view room as rooms on last two stays were basic to say the least. The sea view room was better and great view but could certainly do with some tic. Great breakfast and lovely staff. Would we go back yes most certainly.
