One of the best locations for a YHA. A no-network zone indeed so need to be prepared accordingly. If you arrive at the place after 10AM, you may not be able to enter as the place opens up after 5PM. Although if you are already checked in and you have the code, it's not a problem. Has variety of breakfast options with the continental one being the cheapest complimentary option. Room service is decent. It looks an old Victorian Era lodge/house converted to YHA. They don't provide towels and toiletries. Bunk beds are neat and clean. Recommended by me✌️

Fantastic YHA. Lovely staff - so helpful when I had an issue that needed to be sorted with my car. Couldn’t have done more to help. Rooms were clean and comfy, it’s a YHA not the Ritz, but it’s a good YHA.Breakfast was spot on and service excellent.Great drying room and games room for kids, ping pong, pool etc.Location … well you can’t fault it - amazing.

Had a lovely couple days here on the banks of Wast Water, the views right on your doorstep are as good as anywhere you will find. If you l love stand up paddling or wild swimming there is a little walkway taking you straight into the water. Free parking right outside and there weren't any issues for finding a space. I was in a dorm of 8 - not ideal as i prefer bit more privacy. Shower blocks and toilets onsite were nice and clean and showers hot not luke warm! Nice size drying room downstairs and breakfast was good. Definitely be back in the future, the staff do an amazing job here, credit to YHA.
