I attended an event at the Quays Hotel meeting rooms. (I did not stay overnight at the hotel). The venue was arranged by someone else but I was hosting the meeting. The room was well setup and prepared for my arrival. I was greeted by Victoria who was perfect from start to finish. Victoria went out of her way to ensure I was well looked after and had everything I needed. Refreshments were topped up throughout the day, and the room even received a little tidy whilst we were on lunch.Lunch was fantastic, we had a lovely pie and chips with vegetables. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed lunch and it was nice change from the typical sandwiches we get at most other venues. The other lady working in the restaurant was also very helpful and ensured we were all happy and well fed! Thank you :)I highly recommend this hotel for meetings as although the hotel facilities are a little tired in places the service was first class and the lunch was good!Thank you Victoria and the rest of the team and I hope to visit again soon.

Not busy.Loads of parking - £8 paid at hotel desk. When driving in ensure to get the correct car park/ turning. Its easy to turn early into adjacent car park turning. Check map first.Short walk into the centre of the City.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with a warm smile. One of the standout features was the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction. Every request was met with promptness and efficiency, and the staff’s attention to detail was truly commendable. Whether it was dining recommendations, transportation arrangements, or special requests, they handled everything with utmost professionalism.Overall, my stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of a beautiful facility, outstanding service, and a dedicated staff made it a memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable, welcoming, and enjoyable stay. I will definitely return on my next visit!

The hotel is in a good location, very close to everything. The older rooms are a little rundown but the whole hotel is going through renovation, it will definitely be an even better place to be (I might give it 5 starts in the future)! The gym, spa, heated swimming pool are super good.

Rooms were lovely and spacious. The bed was so hard it was relatable to sleeping on a park bench. I only got 4 hours sleep each night. Absolutely dreadful. The hotel staff did get me extra duvets to pad the bed out after the first night, which was slightly better.Good breakfast. Clean.Once the booking payment had been taken I received an update saying that there was building work happening at the hotel and complimentary ear plugs would be given. This would have been better to tell someone BEFORE the booking payment was taken; as I was delivering training online from the room. I wouldn't have booked if I'd known this.Sauna was also out of order which wasn't explained until payment taken either.Turned out okay, but solely because of the bed I won't be back.I had to book a massage on returning home. The windows were really old too, meaning I could hear banging from the boat yard through the night.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, for my friend’s 60th Birthday. Adie who works at the hotel went above and beyond, to make sure our check in needs were met.He also updated us on the area and recommended if we needed taxis or not to our destinations. Very helpful, friendly, professional and ready to assist with a warm smile. The staff on reception were welcoming, friendly and professional. The rooms were spacious and clean. Coffee and tea making facilities, TV and very comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed whilst on a work trip to Sheffield and was happy with the location and the level of service was great. The bed was super comfortable. The absolute bonus though was the gluten free cereal and bread (and dedicated toaster) on offer at breakfast and the clear allergens information on the cooked breakfast. It was lovely to be so extensively catered for as someone with a gluten intolerance and I didn't have to ask anyone for further information.

During my recent stay 30th Aug 2024 at 4 AM, the fire alarms went off repeatedly for over an hour, with no fire marshals in sight to assist or guide guests. Disabled guests were left stranded on upper floors due to missing evacuation equipment. Nobody coordinated evacuation and then we were left with no guidance outside in the cold with a baby; unclear whether it was safe or not to return indoors.A letter from management, other reviews and talking to other guests suggest this is not an isolated incident, raising serious concerns about the hotel's emergency preparedness and guest safety. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed. However, the pool and gym changing areas were quite grotty, needing thorough cleaning and refurbishment.
