Worst stay in decades. A wedding took place below our room from 6-12:30 PM. Deafening techno music played non-stop. You could feel it in your chest; it vibrated the furniture. To be clear, I reserved a month ago. The day after they accepted my payment, they sent me a note notifying me of a wedding taking place at the Inn and music would be playing until 12:30 and that I would hear music from my room. So on one hand, I should have been more proactive. I assumed it would be light noise that I might hear from a distance and the email was just an extra cautious courtesy. This is the hospitality business - and I assumed they would not book a room that is literally unusable. My issue is they should never allowed anyone to book those room above the reception. Or at the time of booking there should have been CLEARLY displayed red flag/blinking lights on their reservation systems - warnings that clearly convey that this room sits above a thin ceiling and there will be earth shattering techno music. You will not be able to talk, sleep or exist until 12:30. Or how about just not reserve horrible rooms in the first place? In the morning I expressed my disappointment and they offered to comp our drinks. Since we did not have any drinks added to our room - this just was another disappointment. The room minus the audio was lovely and clean but I question any establishment that is OK with taking someone's money for the experience we had. Cost £290.00 - sleeping at a bathroom in a rock concert would have been a more enjoyable experience.

1 night stay , touring holiday . Quirky room (steep stairs to access ) slim bathroom down a few steps (perhaps these few steps should have a hand rail ?). Bottled water, tea/coffee.  …

We recently had our wedding here and cannot recommend it enough to anyone else looking to book theirs. The venue is beautiful, the rooms comfortable, the food is fantastic and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Our guests had a wonderful time and everything went really smoothly, even with a somewhat ridiculously large wedding party. As fantastic as everything else about this venue is, the real jewel in this crown is without doubt Lindsey, coordinator extraordinaire. From the first viewing to the day after the wedding Lindsey was professional, accommodating and reassuring. Our wedding would not have been as good without her expert guidance. The hotel itself is fab and we will definitely be back for our first anniversary.

A lovely, historical hotel with a lot of quirky features and charm. The room was fresh and well cleaned. ||The only problem was the extremely busy and LOUD road right outside the one-glas-windows. …

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel, location, friendly staff, and the food was delicious. The garden space is really lovely. The hotel is so clean and we had free parking if required. The dogs got a sausage at breakfast time. . Definitely want to come back soon.

Super comfy beds, clean bathrooms, lovely staff, helpful and polite. The Molten Brown toiletries are a real treat. Marked the score down slightly because the food just not quite ‘there’. Nice but not really worth what we paid, (we had dinner and breakfast) however we would stay again without hesitation.

This is a magical place. I came for 2 days and stayed for 2 weeks. The house is beautiful, has a stunning design and so much history! Also many cozy corners to relax, read and enjoy your stay. The staff is a 10/10 and they all go above and beyond to make your stay a unique experience. The reception will literally make every dream come true, got me my favorite room and even fixed my shoe when I broke it.The bar team serves premium drinks and you can have fun convos while your cocktail shakes away. The food and service in the restaurant is excellent, breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner, I tried it all :)Come here for an escape from reality and the big city and explore the Cotswolds for a few days while enjoying the beauty of this place.
