I visited with my friend last week, and here’s what we thought. First of all, we arrived after dark, and the entrance is really sketchy, so I would say that if you are alone or a woman, it would be safer to arrive as early as possible. It is important to remember that it is a hostel and also one of the cheapest, but that said, it was not the best. The rooms look almost like the pictures, but they are not as clean. There was mold in the bathrooms and showers. We didn't have breakfast, but from what I saw, there was cereal and jam. The female staff were nice, but some of the male staff were kind of weird. Yes, it is true that the male staff sometimes went inside the all-female dorm, but it was only to show new people their beds.I can't find a picture of it, but there was also a bedbug spray on the radiator in the room, which is, of course, a bit off-putting. However, it is important to remember that it is a hostel, and people come from all around with different bugs and stuff.

1. I would say it is a decent place to stay. It was nice and convenient for me. Yes there were some issues here and there but I could see the staffs intention to solve them.2. Few staffs definitely need to learn to smile and talk to make guests feel more welcoming (specially male staffs).3. Before going to this hostel most concerning thing was reviews of people experiencing bed bug which was not true in my case. I didn’t notice any type of bugs including bed bug throughout my stay.4. Value for money without a doubt.May this hostel grow and glow more 🤘

This place was great. The people who worked there were always available. The breakfast was more than you could ask for. There were bus stops train stations and undergrounds all within a short walk. The beds were old but very comfortable. Had no problem sleeping at all. Excellent for the price. Would definitely go back.

This hostel was as we expected for what we paid for. After reading these reviews we were nervous as heck but we felt the security was good (lock code at main entrance and each room). The showers were actually pretty good compared to other hostels but not as many toilets available but wasn’t a major issue. Towels and breakfast were included for free which was a bonus. The staff were helpful with sorting a last minute booking and room reshuffle to accommodate us.Our group left around midnight for an early flight and I’d definitely be weary walking around that area at night if you’re a solo female traveller.

This was definitely a budget hostel and keep this in mind when booking. Though there were some pros, such as being conveniently close to a bus stop, decent showers, and average rooms, the cons far outweighed them. We had a few grievances that tallied up -eg the bathroom door not locking properly, hearing about other guests with bed bugs, and my labelled food being stolen from the fridge - but our main issue surrounds the (supposedly) female only dorm. Safety is such an important issue for us when staying in hostels, as two young female backpackers which is why we specifically pay extra for a FEMALE only dorm to ensure we feel comfortable and invulnerable. However, we were extremely surprised to wake up in the early morning to a MALE staff member standing in our room - which happened on multiple occasions. We were given no warning or disclaimer to the fact that men (irrelevant to their position as a staff member) were allowed into the female dorms and multiple of the girls were sleeping either in underwear or topless. We know for a fact that this hostel has female staff who could have been performing these jobs instead, not only because we saw them during our time at the hostel, but because the NX Hostel themselves are constantly preaching about them in response to reviews stating how unsafe the male staff members made them feel. Clearly, when seeing all the women made to be uncomfortable at their hostel, they don’t change anything but instead type out angry paragraphs in response which do absolutely nothing to eradicate the situation or make women feel safer at their accomodation. All that’s needed to be done to fix this is to add a disclaimer before people book that alerts them of the possibility of male staff members entering the rooms to performs their duties. This way, women could have either avoided booking to not be made to feel uncomfortable or would be informed and therefore not given the nasty shocks that we were.

I had a terrible experience with NX Hostel. Despite having a confirmed reservation and proof of payment, I was denied check-in as the staff claimed they couldn’t find my booking in their system. I waited outside for over 30 minutes, asking them to contact their manager, but they offered no solution. In the end, I was forced to find last-minute accommodation at an extra cost and missed part of the event I traveled to London for. This lack of professionalism and disregard for guests’ time is unacceptable. Would not recommend.

When I booked my stay at this hostel I didn’t realize the place was this bad. All the pictures on Hostelworld are misguided to say the least. This place is good for 1-2 day stay or if you are really in budget. Also there are some weird guest who lives there so be careful. That freaked me out a lot. I did like the location of the hostel, it wasn’t too far from the downtown London, they do have free breakfast.

Never ever go here. Even when u are on a budget…The other guests are people who are not tourists but people who don’t have a current home. So it’s smells like that.To say it in a nice way. I did not feel save and only stayed because I was with friends. It’s dirty, loud and just a complete catastrophe. My final straw was a sock from a stranger in my bed💀 Underneath the hostel is a metal club so be prepared for a message because the bass is so intensely. In generell the hostel seems so chaotic, badly planned and even worse managed. The state of the building and sanitary facilities is just bad. The kitchen, I would not even call it that, is a faint reminder what a kitchen could be. The only situation that hostel could be acceptable is, if u are the last people on earth during an apocalypse, to rest after fighting zombies. Idk what to say anymore than, just don’t ever go here.

For already being rated almost 2 stars on google maps…and being very cheap, I couldn’t expect much.First off, I had purchased the late check in option due to my flight being delayed which was understandable. But unfortunately the staff weren’t tracking and I had to wait outside.Secondly, the “breakfast” was just different cereals, milk, sodas, and they also have coffee. But not actual breakfast.Thirdly, the bathrooms were painted which looked cool however it seemed to be covering up some foundations of mold. The paint design itself was indeed unique and cool, but didn’t stop me from noticing.

I have never made a review, but this hostel was one of the worst places I have stayed at. Our room was an all female 9 bedroom, and only had 2 lockers, so all of our stuff was sitting on the floor, hoping that none of the other guests would take our stuff. My bed smelled musty and was frankly a little gross with holes in the wall beside it. They claim it is a safe and up and coming neighborhood, but had to change the password a day after they had already done so, because of “issues”. They only emailed us letting us know of the change a whole day after they changed it, someone outside of the hostel had to let us know when we tried getting back in. Me and my friend came back around 11pm and someone got in with us, a hostel employee had to grab them and we heard them say the police were on the way. That is not safe. The bathrooms were not clean, and there was only one to a floor? That made no sense as there were many guests on a floor, and I had to keep checking to see if the bathroom was open. A lot of the time I just ended up going to the bathroom when we got to the center because I just couldn’t wait any longer. Overall, I would not recommend this place, nor would I stay here again. Another thing, looking through the reviews, I feel like their responses are really telling as they don’t take the criticism to try and make it better but call the claims preposterous and slander.
