It did its job for ok price. The rooms were quite old with paint having worn off from some places and overall seemed quite old and and small. It wasn't anything too fancy but did the job of having a place to sleep overnight at decent price. And waking up at morning and having short distance to the underground was convenient.

Genuinely the worst experience I’ve had staying anywhere. We initially booked because of the location and price and ignorantly ignored the reviews but one glance at them tells you everything you need to know. The first few nights were fine the room is run down and small but manageable. After a few nights we found bed bugs and proceeded to switch rooms. When initially telling the receptionist about the problem there was no apology or apparent care about the issue. After switching rooms I then woke up covered in bites all over my body. We then told the receptionist about the problem again which had managed to now be an issue in both rooms we stayed in. She did not seem to care in the slightest, she acted as if we were inconveniencing her in the situation when I’m stood there covered in painfully itchy bites. She did not once say sorry or try and provide any compensation. We asked for a refund and even that had its own issues, we managed to get a refund for the future nights we booked but not the nights we stayed previously. She proceeded to imply it was our fault that we were in this situation as we switched rooms instead of leaving the hotel entirely which is absolutely outrageous. I’ve never experienced such awful customer service in my life. Do not stay here it’ll make your trip to london a nightmare. I’ve included the photos down below which don’t even show the severity and extent of the bites.

When I saw the prices and the reviews, I wasn't expecting much. But my experience was worse than expected.I arrived on a day when it was raining heavily. I was given room 52, in the basement. I was surprised to see that the window didn't close all the way and that there was a lot of rainwater on the floor. I couldn't see myself sleeping in this aquarium, so I immediately asked to change rooms, which the receptionist accepted straight away (the reception is one of the few positive points, so I have to admit it).My ordeal finally took place in room 57. It's in the basement, which I don't really like, but I know it's done in London, so... Nevertheless, the basement is a courtyard which is dirty and untidy (old broken chair, moss...)I've rarely seen such a shabby bedroom. The first problem was the dirt. There were cockroaches in my bathroom, hair on my bed sheets, the paintings are not well done and the furniture is dusty. On top of that the TV doesn't work, it's impossible to open the window because there's a drainpipe right in front of it and it smells bad, in short it's very hot in this room, even in London in October, and on top of that the drainpipe penetrates the room without you being able to ventilate...I've stayed in a few hotels and I think I can say that this is the worst room I've ever had...However, there are a few positive points (hence my 2 stars): the hotel is in a really good location, the receptionists are friendly and helpful, the bed is quite comfortable and the hotel is quite small so you don't feel like you're in a factory. As you can see, I really don't recommend this hotel. It's a bit of a shame because it has potential but needs a lot of work that the owners may not be able to do... Even if the price of the rooms is not very high, I recommend that you increase your budget slightly, you will only be able to thank me.

Don't go!! One of the worst hotels we have stayed in. The staff simply don't care and the room we had was horrible. To call the bed a double was pushing it. It was tiny and the covers were a sheet and a throw you would put on a sofa. …

Tiny, old rooms, almost retro-cute but dilapitated. Fast wifi, clean bed. Decent shower. Nice view and the window opens. Close to nice shops and public transit. Receptionist quite apathetic. But for that price, in London, I won’t complain.

I had a terrible experience at Wedgewood Hotel and cannot recommend it. Upon checking in, I faced several issues, but the most alarming was a **serious security breach**: my room key opened **another guest’s room**, putting both my safety and theirs at risk. This was completely unacceptable, and the hotel staff’s response was inadequate.Despite reporting the issue to the receptionist, I received **no apology** and was simply told there was nothing they could do. The condition of the room was also appalling—**torn curtains**, **unclean bedding**, and **visible mold**. Based on this, I decided to leave immediately, and the receptionist assured me that I would receive a **full refund**.However, after leaving, the hotel has **refused to honor the refund**, leaving me frustrated and still waiting for it. While the **location** of the hotel is nice, the overall experience was horrible, and I didn’t feel safe staying there. This hotel is **unfit for guests** and should not be listed on Agoda or any other booking platform. I strongly advise others to avoid this.

The room was SO warm despite the radiator being off and window being open? The bathroom was even hotter somehow. It was like trying to sleep without an aircon in the South of Spain in the late Summer. I can only imagine how unbearable it'd be in the Summer. The room was really shabby as well, and loud creaky floorboards. The kettle also did not work, and the lights above the bed were non-functional.This place is best avoided, the only pro is that it is in a great location.

I was staying at the hotel for a couple of days with a friend and we were very worried when we saw the remarks about bedbugs etcetera after we booked. But we didn't have to worry at all, we didn't see any insects and also don't have any bites. Maybe we got lucky but the entire hotel looked neat, clean and cozy with an old charme to itOnly negative thing is that it is sort of hard to reach someone online, we wanted to ask something regarding check in due to our flight being delayed but noone picked up the phone (we called 4 times) nor replied to an email. But when we arrived it all worked out without any issue at all, the guy at the reception was very kind and helpful and we had a very comfortable stay :)
