we stayed one night, a family on a budget, to celebrate and travel into London. Simple accommodation, but very clean and great location for getting tube into town. But what made it was the kindness and care of the staff, Rochelle and Michelle, especially went out of their way to advise and help and turned our stay into something special, helping us to leave luggage, warming up my granddaughter's pancakes, nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend for families, couples, friends, groups on a budget, who still want to feel special and like they matter. Thanks.

Not too bad for a 2 star hotel, close to transport links, cool museums near by, Banksy art close by if you want to check it out in real life. …

The staff were lovely and the location was great (3 minutes from the tube) but this was the room was old, dirty and grubby. It needed a deep clean. The sheets felt old, a towel had a massive stain on it. The room had a musty smell, I think from the mattress or duvet. The common areas and lifts needed a sweep and mop. I never felt comfortable there, but we needed a room at the last minute. I have stayed in other Travel Lodges, but never again. Not after this experience.

Booked a superior double for one night.Good location and very helpful, friendly staff. The room was very hot and the window opened onto a train line so we couldn't leave it open because of the noise.Breakfast room is a strange windowless room so we went out for breakfast.

Well we arrived on Tuesday and left today Friday 26th July and had a great time here. The welcome was warm, the rooms were very clean, beds very comfortable and a cheery welcome every morning at breakfast. Breakfast was very good, food quality excellent! It was really good for a budget hotel. Would definitely go back.

In a very weird area for starters. Very unwelcoming and strange atmosphere. Hotel seems very unsafe. Booked a Super room which was not so very super. Dirty carpet with stains and chair covered in stains and dirt. Shower leaking from pipe. Not cleaned well and remote broken. Never coming here again

Be careful. No AC (extremely hot in the summer). Students living across the hotel can see you in your room. Noisy overground near the hotel which could wake you up at 4 am.I asked to change room 4 times and got a different version each time I went to the reception.I will not go back unfortunately.Hotel is near a station but the neighborhood seems to be very poor, albeit not dangerous.

I found the location fantastic, within 5 minutes walk or less to an ATM and the Central Line. Mighty be a litter noisy as it is right next to a majority route, and on a railway junction for the Great Eastern Mainland, but I personally didn't mind this. The signage could have been a little clearer, or a message on the booking confirmation to direct you to the reception (this is on the first floor). The room cleanliness could have been better (stains on the carpet and wall), but the important thing was the bed and bathroom was hygienic, hence why I'm not marking it down too much. I will be considering this location again to stay, as it is quick and easy to reach City of London with the Tube, Santander Bikes, and Bus, and major terminus such as Paddington, Marylebone, Kings Cross / St Pancras, Liverpool Street and Euston with 1 or no changes. Don't bother coming here with your car, that's my advise. I have not tried the food, but the complimentary hot beverages selection in the room was welcoming. Staff was fantastic as well.
