This property is in a great location very walkable, up to 30 minute walk from some sites. If you don't want to walk taxis and public transportation are easily accessible. …

Great hotel with comfy super kingsize bed. Room was good size , there was a few signs of age in the bathroom that some re grouting would fix. Spacious reception and bar. The lifts take a little getting used to but easy when you get the hang of scanning your room card before reaching the lift. Brilliant breakfast buffet choice catering to all tastes. All in all a comfortable stay.

A very pleasant hotel but not close to most tourist attractions so we used Uber/taxis often. Is very near Hyde Park, tho. Staff were friendly & helpful. Room comfortable & clean. Offers breakfast for extra charge ($$).  …

Good location for the underground. Very welcoming, and I loved the decor. Rooms are good, a bit small, but well equipped and clean. Food a bit pricey, but overall had a great time there. Would definitely return. Oh, and Michael was an absolute star.

Great experience from check in with Aiken who provided a free upgrade through to seeing our room. Alessandra and Grace had decorated BOTH my father’s room and mine as we were celebrating our 60 and 40th birthdays respectively on this trip. Blown away by the gesture.

Big room and Nice breakfast. Big plus for the omelette Chef at the breakfast. Noisy brekfast. Good location. Too much music in the lobby. Room was silent. Pretty ok! Kids liked it! Two underground lines close (Central and Jubilee). Nice Garden Walks close.

Hello there!I had promised Michael on 30 September 2024 that I would repay his kindness with a positive review of his excellent service and hospitality after he so kindly let me use the lobby's lavatory of the Cumberland in my hour of need.London is not a very friendly place when it comes to basic human needs (such as bathroom breaks), but fortunately humanity shines through even if some random tourists look like they have been through the wars (and Londoners can be friendlier than their town, luckily). In reality it was just 3 hours on the Big Red Bus in pouring rain after a flight from Budapest and no sleep the night before. :)Michael did not hesitate to offer help when my husband and I approached him with desperation on our faces - mine, especially. When the situation was explained, he immediately told us we could "of course go", pointed us to the right direction, and "not at all", and "it's nothing".On our way out, we stopped to say our thanks and I asked if we could repay his assistance in any way at all, he initially told us no, but upon insisting said we could give him good feedback if we were able to spare the time - and a promise was made.We had a short chat about kindness being essential and definitely wonderful to stumble upon in our busy lives, and how good it was that he could help us out.Michael is a lovely human, a stellar host, an asset to any organisation. As we say in Australia: what an absolute legend! Thanks, Michael.PS, the facilities were top notch, it would be nice to spend a few nights there. Hopefully someday!PPS, the Jimi Hendrix memorabilia was very interesting, I didn't know he stayed there before he died - we also saw his guitar in the lobby and read his blue plaque up front.

The Cumberland Hotel London is one of the lovely hotels located in the heart of London, situated on Marble Arch Street. The location is superb, offering direct views of the entrance to Hyde Park, which is a major draw for the hotel. The service provided by the hotel staff is commendable, with the employees being professional, respectful, and supportive in addressing any requests made by the guests. However, the size of the rooms, a common issue in European hotels, is a bit of a concern. The suite booked was reasonably acceptable and comfortable. The hotel's amenities are generally good and satisfactory. One area that requires attention is the maintenance and cleanliness of the public restrooms, which should be addressed on a continuous basis to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests. An important observation is the need to cater to Arab, Gulf, and Muslim visitors more effectively. Providing a bidet (or a handheld shower) next to the toilet would be a significant draw and greatly appreciated by these guests, as it is an essential requirement for their personal hygiene practices.Overall, the Cumberland Hotel London has provided a pleasant stay, with the excellent location and generally good service being the highlights. The minor issues identified, such as the room size and the public restroom maintenance, can be addressed to further enhance the guest experience. In response to the question, I would certainly consider the Cumberland Hotel London as one of my top choices for future visits, and I would readily recommend it to others.

First impression of the hotel: friendly staff, chic hotelFrom entry, the hotel staff - bellhop, reception were very friendly and helpful.Room: Gold Family RoomRoom itself wasn't very big but just fitted 4 adults and 4 luggages but was bit tight. It was ok for a night's stay. Probably wouldnt recommend for longer as not much space to move around. Bathroom had all the necessary amenities. It was clean and well presented. Only issue was the shower drain doesn't drain well. Had to switch off the shower multiple times as the water looks like it was going to overflow. The water pressure was strong so definitely a plus.Amenities in the Room was sufficient. Had free minibar food and water. Defo plus. Also had a welcome amenity.Bed itself was very comfortable. Only issue was the room was close to the street so you can hear the noise from below. Again, was only a night so didnt bother as much.Location: hotel is centrally located. Walking distance to shopping (Oxford Street), walking distance to multiple tube stations (marble arch), Bond street etc. Also close to the Disney store, M&S, Selfridges.Highly recommend this hotel for the area and the staff.
