We just spent eight nights at the Queens Gate Hotel in Kensington. I needed accommodations for myself and two adult sons. The QG had a room with 3 separate beds that was spacious, clean and comfortable. …

The hotel is very convenient for the Albert Hall being only 5-10 mins away.|The lobby and bar are compact and there is a small, very small bistro. We had a Deluxe Club room which was small but ok for just the one night. …

The staff were pleasant enough, but the lift was too small for us AND the luggage AND the porter showing us to our room. It was an uncomfortably cramped ride - and that rather set the tone. …

Our stay at The Queen’s Gate Hotel was really great. The location was terrific and right down the street from the Royal Albert Hall. The family room was AWESOME! It had a king bed and two twins in a separate alcove. It was perfect for our stay in London. We loved that a diverse breakfast was included and that they cleaned the room each day. I don’t know if the other floors are this way, but our room was on the main floor and the ceilings were VERY tall. It made it feel extremely luxurious. The location and value were great, and we would absolutely stay here again.

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a review highlighting a couple of issues experienced whilst staying at this charming hotel for the weekend. When booking out, I made my concerns known at reception. The lady manning reception was so apologetic and by the ‘wounded look’ on her face, genuinely concerned. To my surprise (and pleasure), the next day, the Reception Manager telephoned me at home to express her regrets at my experience, explaining how service had been compromised by an unprecedented ‘no show’ of several members of staff. Having run a business myself, I fully empathised. However, she accepted my complaint and thanked me for my input, saying that customers views are always welcomed and never ignored and that, subject to availability, we would be upgraded on our next stay. It’s so refreshing to have experienced this professionalism and consideration. How many times in the past, at other hotels, have complaints been greeted with a blank look and then brushed aside? We plan staying at the Queens Gate again in January – the location is superb, facilities and cleanliness are first class and the staff so kind and welcoming – they’ve made us feel really valued guests. Still highly recommended.

This is a very cozy hotel. Our flight landed early in London and we were graciously checked in early, that was very impressive. My decision to stay here was because of its proximity to Natural History museum which my daughter wanted to visit; thanks to Peppa Pig… and this is really close, making our multiple trips there so easy. The breakfast was also splendid.Flying back to London from Greece tomorrow, and will be staying here again before heading home…

A Magical Stay at Queen’s Gate Hotel—Where Guests Are Truly Cared ForOur recent stay at Queen’s Gate Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the hotel’s charm, the incredible hospitality of the staff, and the perfect location—just a short stroll from the Royal Albert Hall. The room was elegant and comfortable, and the food was superb. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. But what made this stay unforgettable was not just the beautiful setting or the excellent amenities—it was the genuine care and kindness shown to us in a moment of panic. After a lovely breakfast one morning, I experienced something that any traveler dreads: my wedding ring slipped off my finger and disappeared down the bathroom drain. In that moment, I felt a wave of fear and sadness, thinking I had lost something irreplaceable.I quickly went to the reception, where the staff immediately assured me they would help. Within moments, they sent one of the maintenance staff to assist us. His name, I believe, was Johnny, and from the second he arrived, his calm and confident presence put us completely at ease. With a warm smile, he told us, “Don’t worry—I’ll find your ring, even if it’s not in the drain.” His reassuring words and positive attitude made us feel so much better at a time when we were feeling anxious. We waited in the lobby, and just 10 minutes later, Johnny returned—not only with my wedding ring, but with it cleaned and wrapped in a neat piece of tissue. The relief and gratitude we felt in that moment are hard to put into words. Johnny’s kindness and professionalism turned what could have been a disaster into a heartwarming memory we will never forget. He made us feel valued and cared for in a way that went beyond the call of duty. What truly amazed us was how Johnny handled the situation. Not only was he incredibly skilled, but he was also so kind, smiling, and treating us with such warmth and empathy. His demeanor was the perfect balance of professionalism and genuine human kindness. It’s rare to meet someone who makes such a strong, positive impact, and Johnny truly did.Our stay at Queen’s Gate Hotel was remarkable in every way, and Johnny’s act of kindness elevated it to something truly special. It’s the little moments like these that make you realize how much this hotel genuinely cares for its guests—not just through its luxurious accommodations, but through the thoughtfulness and dedication of its staff. We left Queen’s Gate Hotel not just feeling rested and happy, but also touched by the exceptional service we received. We can’t recommend this hotel enough, and we look forward to returning soon to relive such a wonderful experience.
