In 7 years of hostelling this is officially the rudest staff I have ever encountered. Congratulations st Christopher’s.I checked in for two nights and asked to book 2 more nights to which I was told I needed to book online but I could keep the same bed - so I did so.Come the time of my original check out I was awoken (still jet lagged) to a woman standing over my bed yelling at me to check out or come downstairs and sort out my booking. Rattled because I had been shouted awake I made my way downstairs where I waited forever for the same woman to come back downstairs and assist me. She took my key card and made me check out so I couldn’t check back in until 3. She rudely said “see this is why you don’t just assume you’re in the same room because you’re not, you’re on the third floor now.” I said “so you’re saying I have to move my bags all the way down the flights of stairs back to here and then move them up even higher? They’re extremely heavy, is it okay if I just put them in the room until check in or something like that?” (I moved to England, so I have 90lb bags with me for my job that requires tools). Absolutely not allowed. So I brought all my things downstairs without being able to get ready in any sort of way as I didn’t think I’d lose a bed on this day. I put my bags behind the desk as I was told to the day I first checked in but this woman decided I was now not allowed to do that and forced me to “either keep them with me or put them downstairs”.Luckily I had a friend offer me a place to stay so I lost my money for the 2 extra nights but I didn’t have to see that woman ever again or deal with the hostel that smelled atrocious. I don’t think I was being unreasonable in any of my interactions but I was made to feel subhuman and I find it insane that you would employ such a person to deal directly with your customers. This is an absolute 100% avoid hostel, as a woman you won’t be safe here and the reception will definitely NOT back you if anything goes wrong. Thanks for a great introduction to the country I am now living in guys. Feels awesome.

Amazing hostel, been there twice and prices have always been super cheap even in middle of summer. The beds are spacious for one person with charger ports and light, surrounded by a curtain so nice and private. I could get dressed in there if i wanted! Everyone in dorms is respectful and quiet and staff have always been friendly and kind offering a charger when my friend needed one. I will keep coming back here whenever i have to stay in london as its so quick to get to on the piccadilly/district lines. No Notes!!

I would like to say guys, this place is amazing, first it is 20 mins from Victoria Train station and as you come out of Hammersmith train station it is opposite the station. The staff is very welcoming the lady that have received us on our arrival was very polite and helpful sorry didn't catch your name but thank you.The room is tidy clean for the price common guys, that's excellent .Good size for 2 people or for a couple. As I travelled with my mum it was big enough for us.The shower is a great toilet clean and plenty of towels to use.The coffee comes with complimentary tea and coffee and a bottle of water.Nice big TV as well.Coming to breakfast in the morning, we had a variety of open buffets .Billy was welcoming that he received us with a smile very helpful gentleman. I will definitely come back on my next trip to London.Keep up the good workFrom room 211

The room had no air con and was extremely hot. Only 1 pillow was a downside. I had a twin private room, and other than those 2 points, it was fine. The best part was the discount you get in the bar as a guest. £3.80 for house beer and 25% of food.1 of the best burgers I ever had was their signature burger.

I just stayed at St. Christopher's Inn Hammersmith for the past two nights. The staff were really kind and provided good customer service. A few things that could improve include providing towels. I paid for a towel and the hostel ran out. They didn't seem to care so I had to use a scarf as a towel. Additionally, the hostel needed to be cleaner and the heat should have been turned on. I even asked but they said no. Additionally, I paid for breakfast for two days but the second day I got there at 9:15am but there was nothing left. They should have restocked it so everyone who paid could eat within the hours they provided.

It’s an okay place. I would recommend if you’re going to a concert at eventim Apollo and only for a night or two, not longer. The location is pretty much their only strength.I booked a bed in a 9 people female dorm. The bed was comfortable enough and there were plugs at each bed however the usb plugs didn’t work (so don’t forget your adaptator if you’re not from the uk!). There were curtains which I always like. The room also has its own private bathroom so yay! However there’s no air conditioning, only a small fan. It was September, nice and sunny outside but I was so hot inside. I can’t imagine in the peak of summer. We could also hear the noises of the street, the noise insulation is quite bad. Also reception said it’s open 24/7 but we were a group of girls coming back at 3:30/4am and our keys didn’t work anymore. We had trouble making someone notice we were trying to go inside. The front door is literally right in front of the front desk :/The common area was also quite dirtyI’ll comeback if I go to a concert in the area but that’s it

I booked direct on St Christopher's Inn website and found it's impossible to cancel! I chose free-cancellation option initially as well. Now that I need to cancel my booking I can't contact any human and only bot replied to me saying that will forward my request to human agent. It's been over 10 days and no human agent gets back to me yet. I emailed the hostel and filled out the cancellation form on website too. The system is awfulI will delete this review if I get my refund back

Stayed last year. Arrived after booking an 8 bed dorm and checked in, went to the room and I’d been placed in a much larger dorm, something like 18 or 20? Complained and was told due to a maintenance issue I was moved (yet nobody proactively contacted me before check in to advise). Had to wait ages while the staff member spoke to the manager or someone and tried to sort it. The end result was I was stuck in the larger room my whole stay and was offered a free breakfast. When I went to the breakfast not long after it started, picking were already slim and were not replenished so gave up after day 2.Avoid if possible. It’s fine for one night if you’re going to a show in Hammersmith but if you’re staying longer then London is too well-connected to suffer by staying here.

Staff: AMAZING. Wonderful. Great. Lovely.FACILITIES: the opposite. The problem with this combination: staff change easily, and often. The facilities do not.Broken room fans, windows don't ventilate well enough. Old, blocked showers, broken toilets, blocked toilets, filthy toilets, only 3x combo toilet/showers for rooms×4 × 9+beds per floor. NO RECYCLING facilities, NO kitchen. Uncomfortable, noisy, plastic mattresses. Wouldn't want to be tall in these beds either.Located next to a main route is convenient during the day, but sadly I only paid so I could sleep next to police sirens all night. While overheating, with an open window.Your company is massive, dear St Christopher Inns - spend some of your easily earned profits on upgrades - Please.Yeah right.

The male stuff were all friendly and helpful, whilst the female stuff, especially one lady with a curly hair, was quite rude. They kicked me out from the hostel after a week, so I went back to further out from the city centre in the hostel where I stayed before close to Dollis hill and they let me to stay longer. I wouldn't come back to this hostel again. It was new, but most of the cleaners don't clean properly. Some of them are friendly, but the hostel itself was so dirty and no fridge and kitchen provided. However, they have cheap breakfast, but I didn't try, so I can't comment on that.
