The location of this hotel is fantastic. Just a block down from the Holborn tube stop. Short walking distance to Covent Garden. We were able to get everywhere in the West End very conveniently. The hotel itself has a hip vibe.  …

First of all this is a lovely hotel. The room was tiny (snug they called it) but we knew about that from previous reviews. Other than storage space, it was not a problem. The bathroom to was very small, but everything in there was fine. …

Lovely hotel; Friendly staff. Room was as described - "cosy" but well thought out, coll decor and comfortable and great value for a London hotel. ||Lobby is welcoming - not your usual souless barn you get in many hotels. Restaurant - food perfect and service again friendly an helpful

The restaurant is very beautiful with flowers hanging around the ceiling and walls. The tables are decorated with flowers and cutlery.A big window that makes you enter the restaurant, it is always nice to eat pancakes. We were disappointed because we had a big plate with a large pancake but it was poorly filled. We paid for the pancakes and a bit of food on the top.The salad was just a few lettuces with a bit of avocado, very simple. I can do it at home myself. The service was very good and the atmosphere was jovial and happy. The customer seems to enjoy the food and they were very talkative. The restaurant has plenty of tables downstairs also where the toilets are.I would recommend this place if you are gluten free but I would not come back.

Stayed here for one-night with my sister whilst visiting London for her 60th Birthday. We arrived at noon, and fantastic that we could get into our room then ( I had told them in advance of our arrival time). …

This was a fantastic stay in what I would describe as the perfect location, at least for what I wanted to do. I was in London to see as much theater as I could, and the location of the Hoxton Holborn did not disappoint. …

The hotel was great and the location quite convenient close to underground station. But what really made the difference was the kind service of the reception staff. Elena, Tomi, Nicole and another Italian guy whose name I can’t remember were quite helpful, resourceful and very nice! Always willing to help and always with a (genuine) smile on. Food from the room service was also reaaaally good…thanks all and hopefully see you next time!

Not exactly what we were looking for at our stay in London. When we checked in, we were pretty surprised that the lobby/restaurant/coffee bar appeared to be a coworking space. Every single chair and space was occupied by a twenty-something all working away on their laptop. This was the situation for weekdays from the morning until later in the evening, Saturday did empty out a bit, but it did not make us want to eat nor drink anything at the restaurant and this was the only hotel on our trip that we did not eat or get cocktails at.When we checked into our room, we went upstairs to find that the room we had been assigned was occupied by someone already! We went back downstairs, and probably should have called it and went to another hotel at this point. The staff was kind and offered us a drink voucher for the bar (that was handwritten on a piece of paper), but they seemed fairly inexperienced and definitely unorganized. Someone who we rode the elevator up with had to go back because the staff forgot to write her room number down for her so when she got to her floor she didn’t know where to go.The hallways and corridors are dark and narrow and not particularly inviting. The rooms are cramped and were decorated nicely, but again, this was not the type of stay we were expecting based on what we read online and the photos. We used our drink voucher at the coffee bar in the morning of check-out, and the staff there too messed up our order and was visibly distressed trying to deal with the mornings orders. Our entire stay, we didn’t notice any senior staff and everyone was very kind and helpful, but it seemed like they needed guidance from someone senior in the hospitality sector to provide a more inviting experience to guests opposed to students/workers who want to use the lobby for working.Would certainly stay here if we were younger and looking for a younger crowd and more energy to mingle with, but at this point in our trip we were looking for a cozier place to wind down after walking around London, and the Hoxton wasn’t for us. Appreciated the staff as everyone was very kind, but this experience was not what we were looking for in our stay. We did not get four-star hotel service, nor did we feel the price was worth our stay.
