All in all, the hotel is simply far too expensive for what it offers...The location is good, but very noisy (both towards the street and in the inner courtyard due to the ventilation and the noisy neighbours at the weekend). The rooms are extremely noisy. The hotel is extremely deceptive in the pictures. The rooms are tiny and much darker than in the pictures. The bathroom is also extremely small even in the medium room, so that you can hardly turn around in it. Unfortunately, there is also no toilet brush, wardrobe or facilities for storing / hanging up clothes. We were there for 4 nights and were only allowed to choose one day on which the room was cleaned. However, this cleaning service costs an extra 20 pounds. Unfortunately, the cleaning service was forgotten on top of that. The breakfast is quite delicious and the atmosphere in the breakfast room is very pleasant. The staff are all nice, but they seem to have a bit of a mess in the organisation...

This is a reasonably priced hotel with an amazing location right in front of Paddington. The staff are very friendly and do their best to take care of you, and the facilities are kept clean. …

Nice vibe and a good location for Paddington. Room was small but perfect for a night or two.To improve:1. Single glazing? A bit cold at night and noisy from outside (thought I had the window open). You'd save on heating bills too.2. Clean behind the bed. Very dusty between the bed and the wall.3. Wasn't given any water when checking in and only on the second night did I notice bottles available for guests.

So first up, this hotel will not be for everyone. If you need a big room with AC and don't care about any characteristics then there's a Hilton around the corner. This hotel stands out with its character, which it has in droves, and it's location right there in front of Paddington. The rooms are very small, and perhaps pushing beds to the wall and losing the TV would help a lot (although more 1-star reviews from Boomers would likely follow), as well it's summer and the room was about 10° warmer than outside - the window onto an alley where people like to hang out and be loud until midnight didn't help. On the plus, leaving the windows open all day left our smelling of grilled meat which was nice. But really none of my complaints are things they have much control over. The things they can control such as the bed, the cleanliness, service, and of course the design of their unique building, were really great. I'd recommend to some friends, and maybe tell my mum to skip it. Weird review, but a weird hotel. Visit at your own discretion, probably much nicer in the colder months (which fortunately is most of the year).

+I loved how cozy my room was. At first I was a little disappointed I had more of an ?urban? view, but actually I really loved that. Staff was v lovely, loved water on tap, cafes, the intentional decor curation. Would stay here again!

Well the coffee from this place ruined the rest of our day.I'm personally a big fan of Monmouth coffee, hence why we stopped here before our train. But as soon as my misses finished her coffee, she was left with an awful taste in her mouth. Fast forward 9 hours and she's just finished being sick and feeling that very same taste leave her mouth. Not only was the barista utterly miserable, despite some efforts of conversation with a smile, I'll be avoiding coffee here again for the foreseeable future. If they can't keep their coffee cups clean, god knows what's in their beds!

Firstly - the rooms are not for everyone as they can be a bit of a squeeze! Although ours was comfortably large enough (just you know, pay attention to the room description when you book) for the both of us.Love the charm of this place, and the central location too. Staff service was excellent and the luggage storage facility they offer was so helpful to us when we checked out but only had our flight at 10pm that night. The interior layout could be a bit confusing but I feel like it adds to the charm - although the lift died the day after we got there, which isn't anyone's fault!Highly recommend this spot to anyone wanting a convenient location and great bed!

Great location, but the small room would be fine if it was one person and carry on luggage. And must go on the floor so you have to climb over it to get to the toilet. The toilet area is the size of a phone booth. An average size person has to step into the shower to get out of the door to the bathroom. And be warned to return your plastic room key or you will find a charge of 20 pounds($26 USD). We were never told that we would be charged for not returning the card. But we may have been told to return it. After an 11hr red eye flight who knows. In over decades of international travel this fee was a first. To be fair earlier in the month we had booked a small room and they upgraded us. Thanks!

We have stayed the Pilgrm for 2 nights. I love the interior decoration ( room and lounge). The English breakfast was great for us. However, be aware not to order more than 1 cup of juice if you don’t want to pay in extra (we’ve been charged £3.94 - my husband asked 2nd cup of apple juice - when we checked out). The hotel has a small pantry which offer self-service tea and coffee, though we don’t have enough time to try it. The only thing I think they can improve is - the hotel guests can’t sit in lounge or outside of lounge for eating their own food, but stay in room. As hotel without lobby, so better find a small space for hotel guests to eat if they buy some food back to hotel ( to avoid smells in rooms)
