I stayed for one night, as a last minute booking. The hotel is well located, minutes walking distance from Baker Street station. Rooms are comfortable, but it is to be mentioned they clearly are not what is advertised. They might have the rooms that are promoted in the pictures, but for exampleI booked a double room - was not even remotely close to the one in the picture. I mean, I do understand they have several double rooms and not all the same, but there was really no resemblance

Literally the WORST experience in 58 years of travel. My wife and I got locked out of our AirBnB and were forced to find a hotel at 2am. This Hotel "Opulence" was a few streets over so we gave it a shot. What a mistake. …

This hotel has obviously reacted very quickly to mainly bad reviews. It's in a great location, easy 15 minute walk from Bond Street tube. …

Luxury and boutique not quite how I would describe this London hotel. Such a shame as it is situated perfectly a street back from Oxford Street and so central for site seeing. …

I booked this hotel because it was cheap. Very pleasantly surprised by how nice my room is. Very comfortable bed and the added bonus of a workout included (walking up all the stairs 😂) Staff were extremely kind and helpful and went out of his way to assist me in anyway required. Thanks for the pleasant hospitality.

By nature, reviews have a subjective element. However, I'll try my best to objectively describe why I would recommend that you not consider staying here:1. The room we had did not look like the photos in the posting. Below, please find photos of the room which can be compared to the photos posted by the hotel. Notice that the room looks nothing like the photos in the posting. The room we were assigned looked like an unkempt college dorm room.2. Bed linden was ripped- below, please see photos showing tears in the bed linden.3. Stains on pillows. While I believe my guess of what caused the stain on the pillow in the room is probably correct, I'll let you see the giant yellow stain on the pillow and make your own determination.Subjectively, this hotel is not what it pretends to be through its listing and should be avoided. We made the decision to leave the hotel, knowing that we would not get a refund, and pay for a room at another hotel. Please do not make the same mistake.

This hotel is NOTHING like the photos…. Very tired and in dire need of a complete refurbishment. The room I stayed in resembles the spare room at your grandparents house…. Not shabby chic just shabby! There is no AC so your forced to leave the window open and suffer roaring traffic all night…I’m also not certain if they rent the rooms by the hour if you know what I mean…. The doors in the corridor were in use all through the night. I woke pretty much every hour of the night. Now feeling more tired than when I arrived. The only positives are the location if you need to be near Marylebone and the price…. If you can afford to go elsewhere then do so.

Avoid at all costs. Booked this place for a night through work so was listed as four star on there, I have no idea how it obtained that accreditation.Service:- When I arrived, the receptionist was smoking outside, I walked straight past him and loitered a while, obviously waiting to check in, assuming he was a visitor. About three minutes later he comes back in, really felt like it was a 'check in on our terms' situation.- When leaving, there was nobody at reception, so I just left my keycard on the desk. This wasn't an issue, but I couldn't help thinking I hope that nobody needs to check in now.Rooms:- Mine (located about 3-4 floors up with no lift) was nothing like the pictures indicate. Absolutely tiny, unclean, very thin walls (I could hear snoring pretty much all night).-I slept on a very uncomfortable single bed which seemed to be at an angle so I got very little sleep.- Wifi was unusable, with only a slight connection available in about a square foot at the other end of the room.Location:- Can't complain

My wife and I stayed in the Windsor Suite in the Opulence and we couldn’t fault it. A real taste of decadence with high moulded ceilings and original furnishings. Massive flat screen TV nested in the middle of beautiful works of art. Great location and always a friendly word from Ali at reception. Nothing was too much trouble.
