We had room 146. Absolutely shocking you couldn’t swing a cat in there. The window sashes rattled in the rotten window frames. Heated towel rail. Asked to change room and was told all rooms were full.  …

Enjoyed a pleasant break with TLH again this summer the hotel complex is great if you are bringing children. ||The rooms were fine if a little dated and the linen and towels were exceptionally clean. …

We have just returned from a family short break at the TLH Toorak. There were 5 of us, booked into 4 different rooms.||Regular staying guests, we love the resort and will definitely be back again. …

Although the hotel is quite dated and could do with a little TLC I could not fault the cleanliness, service and above all the food which was absolutely brilliant with plenty of choice and really nicely presented. …

I will start with the positives. Its at a great location, their staff are friendly and very helpful. The swimming pool area is lovely. I will now give some constructive critism, the place definately needs updating and to be refreshed. The carpets need replacing. They also need to keep on top of their dusting. It would be nice if they had a water machine at the reception for guests. Fridges and irons in the rooms would also be great. Their breakfast was good but I attended a wedding there and the dinner didnt look like it was freshly made, the green beans looked withered, the roast potatoes soggy and the chicken dry and no flavour . Some of the guests ended up ordering food from outside.

Just returned from The Toorak Hotel after a two year absence. Unfortunately we feel more sad each time we return due to the deterioration we see. We first experienced TLH some 35 years ago and oh boy what a very sad change. …

Location wise is very close to the water front and despite insisting on greeting tour groups first, the staff were friendly and polite. The room is big with very tall ceilings but it's very tardy and in need of a massive overhaul. Don't think the room has had any improvement work or redecorating done. The large bay window is in need of extensive repair as it's rotted. There was no functioning hot water for the shower and the toilet holder was held by one top screw and a bit of plastic pushed underneath.Outside the room the wall that has been damaged was covered up with some nailed on boarding and painted over. There is use to the shared swimming facilities which was good and that was in nice condition. You need to pay for parking
