We stayed for 5 nights and had a very comfortable stay throughout. The beds are wonderful, and you are guaranteed to sleep well. The staff and customer service is 10/10. Each and every member of the team are polite and overly accommodating. The breakfastis really good as well as the dinner menu plus it’s very well priced. My wife also needed to store medicine in one of their fridges which was no problem for them to keep safe and administer it whenever we needed. The location is perfect if you’re staying to explore the different trails and walks. Just keep in mind, there’ isn’t a shop near or in the village so you’d need to pick up snacks etc on the way through. We’d stay here again

This pub, in a quiet hamlet is delightful with modern amenities and very comfortable rooms. The owner Bronwen has created a pub with a traditional feel beautifully decorated with photographs on the walls representing local scenes. …

Rooms are lovely. Generously proportioned, great bed, bathroom and shower. Very comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Good choice and well prepared.I had cod and chips as an evening meal which was not great. Very greasy with soggy batter.Overall a good experience.

Had a wonderful short stay in this magic rural place. Was made to feel so welcome, the food and accommodation was all first class. Its location is so special in a very unspoiled part of England , nesting birds flying around, more swallows and Martins than I have seen all year. Very peaceful and lovely local atmosphere.

We found this lovely place when looking for somewhere to stay near South Molton - which, is very lacking in accommodation. We are so glad we found The Red Lion.  …

A very friendly local pub, where visitors are made to feel really welcome. Great food but without the pretentiousness of "gastro pubs", and the decor is traditional without being over the top "ye olde worlde"
