Six of us were attending a wedding locally and stayed in 3 rooms, for 2 nights. ||The lady on check-in called Louise, was very helpful and friendly when we arrived. ||We had breakfast in the restaurant on both mornings. …

Every time I go to Devon, I stay here. It's right next to the race course at Newton abbot, so it's easily accessible. The rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced. I've always had an enjoyable stay here. ☺️

The staff are excellent and friendly, the two ladies on reception (Laura & Ann I think their names were) very friendly and welcoming. Although the restaurant is going through a change, the staff again were very friendly and welcoming. Would not hesitate to stay again if in the area

Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Poor quality breakfast, no butter available. Cooked breakfast not very hot. Continental breakfast selection very basic. Restaurant/bar not open in the evening. Selected for location, hotel fairly good let down by poor dining.

Room was fine, but the breakfast experience was below the normal Premier inn standard. If staying at weekend anticipate a long wait for breakfast and not everything you ordered. Staff were trying their best in a bad situation,we just had to find the humour in the situation and luckily weren’t in a rush

Room good as usual with premier inn. Booked flexible plus room for WiFi but connectivity very poor. |Breakfast awful. Only serve to hotel residents and you have to order main Breakfast. Not a pleasant experience |More staff than customers. Will go elsewhere for breakfast and not going to book evening meal

My first experience of Premier Plus room and a long time since I last stayed in a Premier Inn. Room was nothing special considering the price. There is no way of getting any fresh air in the room which was somewhat drab. …

Premium rooms very good. Sented air in corridor, loved the bathroom with rain shower and loved the bergamot & lavender body wash. Plenty of mirrors, lots of beverage choice including Nespresso machine & pods. Comfy bed and pillow choice.Booked for breakfast, service was good and staff worked hard, but, with only 1 chef it took an hour to get our cooked breakfast even though we booked well in advance the staffing ratio seemed wrong some how and some people left after getting fed up waiting. Might have booked in for evening meal but didn't seem to be open. Perhaps Beefeater may lease out its restaurants as they certainly need more TLC to keep them running which the chain isn't offering in the present climate.

Stayed at this hotel, for 2 nights with our family. Can honestly say this is by far, the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in, in my 60+years !The rooms were tired, as was the whole establishment. My Grandsons towel was dirty, looked like dry blood. The restaurant ( not even sure I can call it that) was shabby, stained, ripped seats, and very little beer on tap as they were all empty. We had booked breakfast for us all with the grandchildren, only to be told that the restaurant was closed as we made our way down that morning, bearing in mind that all breakfasts had to be paid for in advance. Apparently a gas leak, which I find incredibly hard to believe, as I stated to the duty manager, surely you would ensure the safety of all guests, by evacuating the hotel until it had been inspected. The staff still insisted on this story, which I find extremely disgusting, when you see a beer keg delivery at that time!!!When we went to reception to complain about the catalogue of events, we are greeted with " all I can say is we sympathise" . You will be refunded for breakfasts but it will take 3-5 days!!.As a person who has worked in hotels, hospitality, and with a wealth of customer service skills, I am appalled and bitterly disappointed in the whole experience of this Premier Inn.I would never stop there again and advise others to think twice before booking!Kay W

Needs a refresh. Typical Premier Inn room. Carpet was dirty, Desk Vinyl covering was peeled away in places. Bathroom had chipped tiles and mould in places. Beefeater now closed. Chef didn't turn up one morning so no cooked breakfast.
