Oh man where do I start ?This place just wasn’t it. The moment we walked in we felt like we’d checked into a metal hospital. The feeling of the room feels so senile. The bathroom has no space to put clothes after a shower. Those tiny shelves are a joke. The worst part was the noise. I don’t know if there are room on top or if that’s where the owners live, but you could hear everything they did… seriously EVERYTHING.So trying to sleep was hard.We definitely won’t return to this one.

Very comfortable quiet bedroom with v. friendly local pub next door to have a good meal and join in the monthly open Mic session! The breakfast delivered to your door workes really well- delicious sausage, bacon and egg bap and geat granola and museli cereal. Sadly too wet to ebjoy the loveley warm communal Hot tub up on its own terrace. Will do though next visit. Very handy for the SW coastal path. Only a mile off.

Lovely little village of Holbeton, the accommodation is right near the village shop and pub with a shared hot tub. I had a really nice room with very comfy bed, fantastic shower, fridge, kettle, coffee machine and big tv as well as a blanket, bowl and treats provided for my dog. Owners were very welcoming. On my last day I had a continental breakfast, choice of 3 cereals, 2 good sized pots of jam, a croissant, Danish pastry, Greek yogurt with fruit compote and bottle of orange juice. I will most certainly come again.

The bed was excellent quality and very comfortable. It was lovely to have fresh milk in the fridge and good quality tea and biscuits. The room was clean but the standard of decor lacking - especially the blinds at the windows which allowed the passers by to look in. At 8 am there were people (owners) watering the plants outside the room whilst I was sitting in my bed trying to relax with a cup of tea! At £100 a night (Sun and Mon) I felt this was not professional.. I did not experience the pub car park emptying outside my window but there were a number of noisy vehicles passing close by. To summarise - comfy bed but too expensive for the quality of the accommodation.

Loved this place. Visited relatives in this gorgeous village. Plenty of parking which is useful in Holbeton. The room was delightful, not massive but beautifully finished, fitted and presented. Bed was uber comfy and just everything one could need....even enough coffee for more than one cup unlike most places. Owners very helpful when my wife lost her kindle, only to find it in the boot of the car...but thank you for looking.Thoroughly recommend this delightful outfit.

Lovely welcome from Paul & Jacqui for both myself and my dog. We had every comfort in our room, super-comfy bed, great shower, large fluffy towels including one for the dog, a robe and slippers and nice toiletries in eco friendly refilled bottles. Lots of tea, coffee, hot choc and a soak in the hot tub helped offset the very wet weather. An indulgent breakfast of freshly baked pastries and conserves was bought to the door each morning too. With all the beauty of South Devon and a pub in the doorstep, Ivy Barn is 5*****

Just right! Suited us to be next to the pub, The Mildmay Colours, and in supreme comfort. Lots of luxury items - dressing gowns, slippers, wine glasses, coffee machine, fridge. Comfy bed and very quiet at night. The rooms are small, but cosy and beautifully decorated. There is only a continental breakfast in a basket, but the produce is fresh and delicious. They are still renovating the last rooms so be prepared for a bit of building noise during the day. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

We arrived late at the ivy barn (we only booked at around 8pm and arrived for 8.45!) The host was really friendly when we arrived and didn’t mind us booking late. The room was very clean with a comfy bed and good shower. We had our dog with us and there was dog treats and a dog towel left in the room! We also had the breakfast here which was really nice, with pastries, bread, cereal and orange juice. I’d definitely recommend this stay.
