A welcome return for us to this historic hotel (visit 7 after 5 years away). |While the hotel remains largely the same, there have been some nice new touches. Our room was a king deluxe, which has benefitted from a recent make over. …

Very pleasant stay. Room was larger with a sitting area, large balcony and a beautiful view. Room was dated (but to be expected with an older hotel) very charming property. Great location, easy walk to the harbour and close to shops, restaurants and bars. Hotel Parking available was reasonable. Hotel pool and sauna/hot tub was great. The hotel bar and restaurant were both very nice and decent quality.

Nice hotel, with great views and a short walk from the centre. Breakfast buffet was great, with lots of choice and of good quality. View from the breakfast room is fantastic. We were there on a rainy day and still really enjoyed the view. There is a secure car park reserved for hotel guests (8.50£ per night). Room furniture felt dated but found the mattress really comfortable, and room was good size too (despite being a small double).

A great 2 day spa break. A lovely welcome on arrival set the level and didn't disappoint. All staff interactions were above expectation. A fab location with panoramic views of the coast, a delight to have during breakfast. Best meal by far was breakfast, every buffet and hot menu item you could wish for, lots of vegetarian choices available without having to ask and wait. Well worth every penny and very reasonable too.

Great hotel in an excellent location. Our room was very nice, with great views out to sea. The Imperial has very good parking and it's very easy to walk down into the town of Torquay. There are both indoor and outdoor pools and a beauty spa. The food was good too, with a breakfast buffet and the dinner menu In the evening had plenty of choice. I would certainly go there again

The Imperial Torquay hotel impresses with its fantastic ocean views, excellent service, and wonderful staff. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the staff is polite, friendly, and caring. It's no wonder this hotel was once ranked among the best in the world.Very good breakfasts, special thanks to Basha who was always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very beautiful and comfortable, and although the hotel was founded in 1866, which can be felt in some signs of wear and tear, it doesn't detract from the experience. The atmosphere is amazing. The hotel has hosted European royalty, Winston Churchill, The Beatles, and even Agatha Christie, who mentioned it in her books. If we return to Torquay, we'll definitely stay at this hotel again. It's located in a quiet, picturesque area, and the food is delicious and made with care.My family and I sincerely thank the staff for making our stay wonderful.

Lovely old fashioned hotel. Beautiful decor and stunning views of the ocean. Dog friendly. Short walk to town centre. Nice pool and gardens. Never tried the spa but will do next time. It’s my second stay here because I love the atmosphere. Beds are comfortable and the room is spacious. We had a garden room with sea views and our own terrace. Manager Heidi goes out of her way to please her guests.
