Liked: Nice quiet site, sheltered on all sides even on a windy weekend. Next to a road, people have mentioned road noise but it wasn’t very busy. …

The site itself is ideally located if you want to explore the Cotswolds. Facilities are basic but very acceptable. Clean and well maintained. The site was quiet when we visited but sadly we were made to feel uncomfortable by staff. We arrived just after 8pm. We had parked with our van facing other campers but the front of our van is sealed off by a window cover and we camp out the back of the van so not to be seen or on looking other campers. I switched the engine on around 8:15pm for 4 mins max to blow up our airbed. Staff approached us to turn our headlights off. They were off, it was only the day time running lights on, she was worried it would disturb other campers. I explained we would only be a couple of mins to which I was challenged as to why I needed my engine running. I was then asked to be more considerate in future when camping. We felt very uncomfortable from then forward worrying about doing anything in fear of being ‘told off’. We left early for this reason. I totally understand the reason for approaching us if the concern was disturbing others for 4 mins whilst be blew the bed up but the approach and choice of words could have been different.

Liked: Quiet campsite in the Cotswolds. Disliked: The toilets and showers are a bit unkept. There is no easy access for walking paths from the campsite without walking on a busy road.

Liked: Location, fair price, new sanitary block being built. Disliked: There is a site warden (apparently) but I never saw him. He clearly never cleans looking at the state of the old sanitary block. I did clear the drain myself though.
