We had a two night stay at this excellent B&B. Sara was a lovely hostess providing a good breakfast each morning including eggs from her own chickens. The room and private bathroom were both spacious and clean. It was nice and quiet, just to our liking. Unfortunately due to the weather we were unable to make use of the private patio area. The B&B is well situated for touring the Cotswolds which suited our purposes perfectly. We hope to make another visit next year.

We had a lovely time with our own private space on Sara and David's beautiful and peaceful homestead. They are lovely hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. We loved the breakfast, scrambled eggs on toast with eggs from their flock of free range ex battery hens, a pot of coffee and the chance to start our day chilling in the sun on our own private decking overlooking the farm for the morning was the perfect start of the day.We were even lucky enough to be greeted by some curious goats in their enclosure next to the sun deck. The accommodation is attached to the house and has it's own entrance, shower, toilet and bedroom with ample secure parking.A strange mention, but even small details like having a decent shower and a fridge with milk provided made the little differences that you don't get everywhere. Thanks so much for looking after us, we highly recommend this stay to any couple looking for a gorgeous hideaway.

What a gem of a place. Sara is a great host and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very comfortable and the shower was fabulous. Great seeing all her animals especially the gorgeous brodie. Breakfast was more than ample and with delicious fresh eggs each day. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pucks retreat and will definitely return in the future

We had a lovely stay at the Pucks Retreat this weekend!! Situated on a beautiful and peaceful farm. Sara was our host and she was extremely welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. You have your own front door, with double bedroom, double shower and dining area. We had eggs for breakfast and can honestly say the best scrambled egg I’ve ever had. You even have the option to buy 6 eggs fresh from the farm for just £1.50, we definitely took advantage of that.If we are ever back over that way again we will 100% be back. Thanks again Sara

Lovely farm setting and perfect hosts. Has everything you need in the room. Fantastic shower in separate bathroom and private outdoor patio with seating. Farm fresh eggs for breakfast. Busy A road generates a lot of noise though.

The Host and her husband are extremely friendly and helpful passing on local information and places to visit. The location is rural but within a short walking distance of Shipston-on-Stour and Tredington with good restaurants at both locations. The bedroom and bathroom are scrupulously clean and breakfast albeit Continental is more than adequate with various options of egg dishes from their own free range hens. It was a pleasure to have met both of the host and would certainly stay again when visiting the area.

"Pucks Shepherds Hut"Super Comfy, Unique, Pristine, Beautiful Location, Romantic. What a privilege to be the first ever guests to stay in Pucks Shepherds Hut, what a real treat! This was also our first ever stay in any Shepherds Hut, and if we’re honest, perhaps we were a little apprehensive about how it would be actually staying in one, but we should never have worried!  Sara has really done herself proud & worked incredibly hard to create this beautiful, well thought out and very unique sanctuary to stay in.  The electric gates are very easy to operate for access.Pucks Shepherds Hut is a very private haven, with a covered veranda attached, with seats & table, facing open fields, & surrounded by its own pretty enclosed garden with seating. On the veranda there is covered hanging space if you are unfortunate enough to have rain and need to dry your wet coats/boots.  Garden is glorious, a stunning metal arch gate, and good quality gas BBQ with additional hob. All the BBQ equipment you need, plus planted herbs to hand. Parking right by the arched gate that leads to the garden. The hut has been fitted out thoughtfully with attention to detail & comfort. Sara has been very creative in thinking about what her guests would not only need, but also like to have, all great quality too. The bed is full sized & very comfortable, my husband is 5ft 11” & had no issue at all.  The bed has been raised to a height that allows for storage of your bags, or even your dogs bed underneath. This also means great views when sitting up in bed with your morning brew.  The 2 x stools & drop-down table were perfect, plenty of room for dinner plates, wine bottle & glasses, as you eat looking out across the fields.  There is a very efficient heater/cooling fan should you need it.  There is also a large mirror & hairdryer.  The kitchen has all you need, microwave, toaster, kettle, large wine glasses, crockery, (& goat mugs!) cutlery & place mats. Full size fridge with the essential ice box & cube tray. Pack of cards & scrabble.  There are clothes hangers, guidebooks, info folder, with WI-FI code, even a Bluetooth radio, which Sara thoughtfully set to our favourite radio station, Boom, for our arrival! The welcome pack included tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate, fresh milk, biscuits, cereal & marmalades.  There were also half a dozen free range eggs from Sara’s rescued hens, which were so incredibly fresh & delicious.  We ate the eggs the night we got home but wish we had bought more from her before we left. You can see the chickens across the driveway, no cockerel to wake you!  There is a very special hand-made gift included too, but you’ll have to stay there to discover it!The LPG shower & toilet are so easy to operate, and are very efficient, & they are literally at the end of your veranda. Sara has kindly provided a cosy dressing gown, and shower shoes for the very short walk there & back. The shower has 2 x large baskets hanging up for your toiletries, and hooks for clothes, & a few complimentary toiletries, and you can adjust the temperature according to your preference.  We just left it as it was on arrival, which was perfect for us.  There are outside electric lights, but also twinkling solar lights, which give the place a wonderful romantic feel at night.Sara is such a terrific host, with a wonderful warmth about her, with a great sense of humour. She ensures you have all you need, is there to help if you need her, but gives you the space, peace & privacy to enjoy your very special accommodation too!It was so nice to meet lovely dog Brodie, hear about Sara’s work with rescue hedgehogs, and see all the wonderful trees she has been planting & wildlife it is attracting.  The truly delightful goats, wow, what a treat they are, so entertaining, but very quiet, we loved em!Sara, we are so lucky to have found your place, & we haven’t stopped telling people about it since we came home! Thank you for letting us be the first people to experience Pucks Shepherds Hut!

What a wonderful night away. Puck’s Retreat was such a lovely place. The B&B is a self contained living area within the owners home, which at all times felt totally private. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge in the master bedroom, whilst in the annex there was a dedicated area for breakfast which was perfect. The bathroom was very sizeable and all very clean. The local area was lovely and we had a superb meal in the pub which was an easy 10 minute walk away.We will not hesitate to return or recommend Pucks Retreat to others.
