My sisters and I had a pleasant stay here. It is a little on the run down side but perfectly clean and comfortable and we were happy enough for what we paid, no complaints. Bathroom seemed quite newly done and was spacious. Great location not far from the train station and service was very good.

Stayed here whilst visiting family in the area, room was clean and tidy, greeted by Julie whom couldn't be more helpful. Comfortable bed and pillows, all the amenities you could need for a few nights stay. Check In was swift and we could check in early which was a bonus. Brilliant little boutique hotel, will definitely be back.

How best to describe The Carlton in Rugby is that it's very close to the train station which is a plus point yet to the room I stayed in it's very dirty/(grim) and could do with being redecorated and I will include both the ceiling and windows to the room that I stayed in overnight which was room 4 as to why I took the picture to my bathroom shower gel is because of showing the soap which was left there from the previous guest and the rest of the property which I saw it could do with being upgraded and to access the property for the first time you will need to phone them which has a mobile phone number displayed and I would of displayed a 0 rating if I could that's why it's a 1

We thought we’d done our research well when looking for a cheap hotel in a town we didn’t know. However, it was clear before we’d even entered that we’d made a mistake. The area was deprived and the hotel run down. …

Terrible experience. Their website is a sham. There is no hotel or staff, only a room in a dilapidated run down building. No bar, no dining room, no reception. Received texts giving number for key box so we could get to our room.  …

Lovely hotel central to the town and train station. Julie was very welcoming snd accommodating to our needs. She has clearly put a lot of thought into ensuring her guests have the best stay, from tea/coffee and biscuits to the presentation of the towels. Mattress, pillow and bedding very comfy. We will certainly be back annually xx

We went on Monday expecting a nice hotel and instead it was awful. A rundown building, car park with old mattress dumped. 2 weedy window boxes. Couldn’t book in until 4 p.m. and then had text with code to open the door. …

Don’t get out of the car! It’s awful, it has a 4 star rating , the only stars on show were through the holes in the curtains.|There are no staff on duty anywhere so good luck . Beware hot tap is cold water and vice versa. …

This hotel is one of the worst i have stayed in. The rooms are not looked after at all. There was wallpaper hanging off the walls, lights not working, lights hanging out of socket above the shower. We stayed with 2 other couple and all 3 rooms were really terrible. One of the rooms had stains on the bed/walls which we dare not touch. Our bed was comfy but the generator that intermittently ran through the night was not helpful with how noisy it was.
