Location was close for where I needed to be.The pod was equipped with everything I needed. The heater had been left on in expectation of my arrival. The shared toilet/shower block was clean and stocked with toiletries.Saw some pictures on the wall of the restaurant building.... apparently the Old Hall House had been on 4 Rooms and a Bed.

Firstly, I have to admit that I failed to read the booking confirmation properly, so didn't notice that I was booked for a shared bathroom, as opposed to the ensuite I expected. Fair enough, but I still would have expected any shared facilities to actually be indoors. Instead, they were in a small cubicle in the field outside. They consisted of a loo, sink and shower with no partition between them and which you could be used by a large number of other 'rooms'. All in all very unhygienic. The room allocated to me was an outside 'glamping' pod; not the most inviting prospect for a September weekend of driving rain. This made tramping across the field to shower as impractical as it was unattractive. On the night I arrived there were no reception staff and I had to collect the keys from the restaurant. The young lads working there were great; very friendly and helpful, though unable to do anything about the room. When I raised it at reception the following day, I was offered a room in the main building if I paid a large supplement. I didn't and so was unable to shower during my stay.On my second night I had to listen to drunk, half naked guests fighting in said field for 2 hours, there being no one to complain to.My booking confirmation did confirm that there would be WiFi in the room as well as a desk, but there was neither, thus rendering me unable to work whilst I was there.

We had an interesting stay !!! Surprised we we were staying in an event/conference venue. We expected an old cosy hotel instead of an old building, which is an annexe to a conference centre. The Old House could do with some renovation and upgrades as it was a bit scuffed, dusty and shabby in places. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food served in the restaurant was good. This is a very.inusual place with some surreal and bizarre objects and decorations adorning most of the rooms and corridors. It's not really correct to show a picture of the Old Hall as it is a bit misleading and not a true reflection of the complete surroundings and what guests receive.

I have stayed here on many occasions, but I have been driven to write a review on this occasion. This place is more than an accommodation provider. There's an exceptional restaurant which, since the arrival of Chef George, treats tongues to the most tantalising tastes imaginable. I would carry on with what this place provides, but I do not wish to distract from the cherry on top for me.I have always loved the fact that they are family run, which is reflected in the staff I have encountered. Nothing is too much for The QuickenTree staff. But away from the restaurant, there is a particularly prominent person of whom I had the pleasure of personally. For context, the venue consists of an historical manor house hotel, as well as stand alone Pods of varied design.. And, which i find touching, each one has been named after people who have impacted the owners life. He's acknowledging that his achievements weren't possible without the help of others.Which seamlessly leads to the cherry of my review She has yet to be awarded with a Pod in her name, but she deserves it.From start to finish, I was flabbergasted by the service I received from this exceptional entity. Just a perfect person!I know what the next Pod needs rio be christened. As this person deserves the dues. Please make my wish come true and ensure that my next over night stay will be in Kelly Pod.

What a find. Perfect location for the NEC . EXTREMELY good value for money, and a nice surprise when we asked for the bill for breakfast to find it was included. We had an evening meal on our arrival. The restaurant on site had an excellent selection and the food was very nice.We stayed in the house. Oldie worldie decor, and the room was quirky. Only niggle, there was a small step leading into the bathroom and a massive trip hazard at night, leading you straight into the sink. Not enough to put us off staying again, just need to be aware of and remember the step.We had a late check-in, which we did through the restaurant staff, who were very friendly and helpful. Check out again straightforward.

Could not fault this at all. Shepherds huts were beautifully clean, warm and cosy. Restaurant was lovely, staff couldn’t have been more friendly. Although I hadn’t booked breakfast it was included. Excellent!

I genuinely can’t get my head around the dreadful reviews about this place.||I booked it through booking.com, because it looked pleasant enough, and got it at a fantastic price of just £35 for one of the small pods. …

We had a one night stay at Old Hall House as a rest point on a longer journey. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely. We had an evening meal in their onsite restaurant which was very good. The complimentary full English breakfast was great! The only downside for us was the music being too loud at breakfast but maybe that's just us! We would have preferred something quiet and calming in the morning.
