We were made to feel so welcome. A very family orientated hotel. The meals were beautiful, and wonderfully presented. I will definitely come back.

This is not a nice place. The room we were in had a terrible smell throughout our 2 night stay. This once magnificent building is now very run down and in need of a complete overhaul!!! …

Wow! We would absolutely stay here again, the room was beautiful. Clean. Very atmospheric with a fabulous en-suite. The staff were helpful, and I do not know any way in which this hotel could improve. We are very reluctant to leave!

The Royal Hotel has is a grand old hotel. Large rooms (we stayed in the boardroom) with wonderful old furniture. It's dated in parts but clean. What makes it is the family-run atmosphere. Jim and Ayaz run the place and make guests feel at home. Recommended.

This hotel is very dated which wouldn’t be so much of an issue if the service was non existent and it wasn’t also dirty. To top it off 2 of the guests had bed bugs. …

Went into this hotel with family to check for availability for block booking next year. It was a sunny afternoon, about 2pm… The lady at the reception desk was vague and left no details of how to book. …
