We stayed here on our way through the region. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. And has lots of parking. Absolutely recommend. There is also a neat castle you can walk to not far away (Dunnideer) and some standing stones.

Very warm welcome. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Rooms bright and bed comfortable. Views from window lovely.Car parking safe. Food well cooked and presented, hot and tasty. Menu varied to suit all tastes. I recommend The Station Hotel in a friendly village, close to train and bus links for Inverurie and Aberdeen

Our first break away for 2 years. Stayed here for 2 nights. Room very small but comfortable however there were NO staff in the ‘hotel’ apart from the first few hours of our stay. …

The rooms at the hotel are lovely, modern, and beautifully decorated, and there's a great choice for breakfast. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming, and couldn't do enough for us to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The hotel also felt very safe in terms of following COVID restrictions.

Recently re-opened. A stunning refurbishment. Food is simple pub fare - very tasty and very good value - you might need to book a table at weekends. Very good selection of beers and friendly staff. Great to have a good pub in the village after such a long closure

Ill start by saying that me and my partner visited for a meal one evening and it was excellent we could not fault it, aside from the fact the burger was empty, only meat and bread no lettuce or anything else.A word of warning that the menu is also very very limited, no steak available and I believe a bit on the expensive side, you are charged extra for important toppings on your burger like cheese , onions and bacon which is just ridiculous on top of the dishes price ...However, we attended again several days later with several family members for a Sunday lunch, I had the same burger again(again no lettuce or other fillings) and it was excellent, aside from the chips, which must have been cooked in dirty oil or possibly at incorrect temperature as they were awful compared to the first evening. I was also sad to see that they used plastic cups for sauces rather than the small dishes from the previous night. I will also point out my family members were not impressed with the hours wait we had for our food, I personally don't mind waiting however, we had two very young children waiting who became very upset by the time food arrived. My partner and I won't be returning for a while until the food is more consistent and the menu has been reworked.

Having frequented this pace when it was a pub, I was pleasantly surprised with the decoration. It is very clean, and done to a high standard (a very welcome change from the old days!!)At the time of booking over the phone, I was asked for any dietary requirements, which I have never been asked before (so this was excellent in my opinion). The food was good, the menu a little limited, but I'm sure in time that will change. We were not shown to our table though and had we been, we might have been made aware of the specials menu, as this was our first time, we were a little unsure where things were, so we just ordered from the menu. Prices are a little higher than we thought, (for example, especially if adding bacon or cheese etc to a burger - £1 extra per item). One thing I would say, if you are going over a weekend it would be best to book, however if you are going on perhaps a Friday and definitely a Saturday, try to ask to be seated downstairs. The public bar is now upstairs, with a few meal tables off the bar space, and while eating it was very loud, with bar patrons walking through where/while people were eating. Even a door to the bar would be a good idea to stop so much noise, perhaps closing off the meal space till meals are over. While this wasn't a massive issue, it did get slightly annoying while trying to eat a meal and have a conversation.Overall though, I'd say this is a good place to go, staff are friendly (but were very busy), nothing was an issue when asked (needed a steak knife), the place is spotless, plenty parking, easy access (however if you are disabled or have mobility issues like myself, make sure you ask for down stairs seating, as the narrow stairs will be an issue). Will be back! Thank you and well done for getting this place back open. Wish you all every success.

Lovely, newly refurbished hotel with restaurant and public bar. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed our visit. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was lovely and was reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.
