We were so happy with our stay. |The room, though smaller than we're used to, was perfect (we travel very light). Do not expect to fit a couple with more than a couple of carry-ons. It gives upscale-hostel vibes. …

This is a very expensive budget hotel. Location is ideal and the room (if you could call it that) was clean. However, we were in a room with no window which felt claustrophobic.  …

The rooms are compact and low cost which is why we booked. We knew we would spend most of our time outside of the hotel so didn't want to spend for luxuries we wouldn't need.Be warned there is no lift so you have walk cases up. We were third floor.Location is spot on, so much to do and easy to get to all the local attractions.

Great pod like rooms. Only 3 steps from door to bed so very very small. Shower took a while to get hot and you could hear the next room showering. Bed was comfortable and location was great

This is a budget hotel and it is in a great location when visiting Edinburgh. The standard room is the perfect size for one person or two at a pinch. The room was clean and had the basic necessities for my stay, a bad and a very tiny toilet/shower room. It isn't the type of room you should get if you want to spend lots of time in it. I was on the 3rd floor and there isn't a lift which may be a problem for some. I did notice that you could hear noise from other things and the corridor. If you want your room cleaned, it is £10 extra but you could also pay extra to have a 1pm check out and that is convenient. You can also pay £2.50 to leave your bags. If you're simply looking for a clean bed in a great location this hotel is great.

We couldn't find anywhere to stay under £150 and a room for £181 came up here. The reviews are absolutely spot on and you will feel robbed by how much you pay versus what you get. …

Wow, what an amazing location! Couldn't be more ideally located to explore the city. 5 stars for that.Cleanliness is reasonable. The room was very clean upon arrival, too bad the trash bin is cup sized and there is no toilet brush or real shower head. The little shower area gets dirty too fast, staying 4 nights got increasingly uncomfortable.I was extremely upset upon arrival, to discover that the room looked like a prison closet, no windows, no storage, not even a single shelf on the wall, no space to move about. I acclimated to it because we are out and about the whole day, but it's very uncomfortable to get dressed in the morning and feels downright claustrophobic at times, with all the noise from the other rooms and people moving in the corridor.I wouldn't call it super budget either, because at over 110 per night, what's cheap is not the price but the quality.Overall, great location in the city, clean enough, but really just a bed in a closet.Silver lining, let's see it as a Harry Potter experience!

Firstly some good things - the location of the hotel is excellent. Right on to Princes Street - you can't really get much better than that! The staff in the hotel were also really friendly and helpful, and I cannot fault them. …

I stayed one night at a hub premier inn then here the following night. Both the same price, both windowless rooms but worlds apart. I think if it comes down to staying in this place or getting a tram towards the airport, I'd pick commuting to the airport next time. Unfortunately the shower water ran into the room and across the floor and got some of my stuff wet. The air con is controlled I think by reception and I didn't want to go out to get it changed at 3:40am when it became really loud. The room did however, encourage me to spend as much time not in the room as possible so I saw more of Edinburgh than anticipated.

Room was fine knew it would be small as stated on the website o was expecting an almost pod hotel expertise which was basically what we got. Staff were lovely, only fault I would make is we only got one small pillow each if I was staying a second night I would ask for an extra pillow and the windows you couldn’t open which if it was a hot night I imagine it would be uncomfortable. Or even a thermostat would make the place so much better. Other than that the place was pretty good
