Decent sized room that has everything you need. Had a bit of a funny smell, not sure if it was there all stay or after I showered. Service was good, reception is in the Grampian Hotel next door, the guy manning reception took our bag up to our room for us and let us in. Only thing is we were stood waiting for a few minutes at breakfast, so we eventually sat ourselves. Would return if in Perth again.

Overall very decent.Pros:- Staff are all super nice and more than helpful.- My room was a small single with outside private bathroom. Bed was comfortable.- Bathroom was almost same size as room, lol, was rather large and seemed newly remodeled.- Breakfast is great and plenty in my opinion. Don’t forget to fill out your breakfast requests before 10pm every day for next day; I filled mine out right away for next day after I had just finished breakfast.- Walking distance to downtown, with a few attractions and shopping.Cons:- The outside is not well taken care of, a bit trashy, nobody seems to pick up the trash or attempt to make it nice; I had to move a large piece of wood one day as it partially blocked a parking spot.- Shower pressure is non-existent. It took me forever to get shampoo and conditioner out of my hair which isn’t very economical at all. They’re using these white “eco” units which are horrible. You cannot really adjust the water temperature well, on “high” it wasn’t possible at all.- Room felt a bit cramped, closet door only opened when chair was moved; I’d suggest taking out the closet completely and installing an open wardrobe.- There is no more breakfast room at Heidl as shown in an older photo, it’s all at Grampian next door. The former breakfast room at Heidl is used as supply room and stacked up furniture. It would be better to hang nice curtains and block view of that room completely as it looks trashy.- Parking is extremely limited for the amount of rooms at Heidl and Grampian, and you might have to park around the corner free from 6pm-8am (see blue arrow in a photo), or in the Morrison’s lot.- If there is a parking spot, it’s hard to get in/out. You cannot turn right into a spot at all from the street due to traffic light and waiting cars (very busy street!), but have to go to next street (blue arrow in photo), and turn around. You have to use the bus lane to get in/out. When leaving, you cannot make a right turn, only left into the bus lane.- Entire staff at Heidl and Grampian is East Indian, and none of them speak English well, which is a bit of a drawback as understanding can be difficult.

Stayed here in March as a group of 3 blokes.Very impressed on arrival, and a great location with off-road parking. The room was clean, spacious, and perfect for our group. We had a room on the top floor with an ensuite. We were supplied with towels; soaps, shower gels, shampoo and conditioner; and bottled water. We checked in next door at the Grampian Hotel, and had to fill in our cooked breakfast choice on arrival.Unfortunately, we had some plumbing issues in the morning, just in time for departure. The toilet filled, and didn't drain. The water pooled in the shower tray, and also didn't drain. The continental breakfast offering was decent enough, but the cooked breakfast was just OK. The sausages were cheap, and there was no toast, nor was there anybody on hand to ask.I would stay here again as a group, but it was just unfortunate that the latter part of the stay was let down.

The b&b itself is clean and tidy .My room was kind of small- had a sink, a mirror a wardrobe and a single bed. Own private bathroom. It was poor pressure in the shower but it was a large bathroom.Nice breakfast and good location (close to the town center and on a bus route) 4/5
