This is my second stay at the Kirkmichael Hotel and it was just as good as the first! This is a quaint pub hotel in a small Scottish village. The village and surrounding countryside are peaceful and lovely. The Kirkmichael has new ownership with goals of elevating an already great place. The room was very spacious and the shower had phenomenal water pressure! We had dinner, drinks and breakfast and enjoyed all our meals. The chicken goujons were hand breaded and the best I've had!I also want to specifically commend the amazing service provided to us by the bartender James! He made our evening meal and drinks so enjoyable. In closing, I highly recommend the Kirkmichael Hotel and we are already looking forward to our next stay!

The hostess and her staff were all very welcoming, friendly and attentive.|The hotel is in need of updating, and so that is why I’ve given it 4 stars, but the new owner is gradually updating the hotel and doing a great job. …

Very tasty burger and chips but rundown. We understand that this hotel has changed hands and is in the process of transition, but basic cleanliness is needed here.  …

The hotel initially seemed appealing, but it's evident that its prime has faded. Contrary to the images and description, the present state is disappointing. The bathroom was dirty, no towels, and there was no staff available when assistance was needed. There was also no coffee provided in the room. There was an unpleasant smell in the corridor, thankfully it didn't permeate the room. Furthermore, breakfast was not served until at least 8:15 am, leading us to leave without it. Given the chance we have more time and there is stuff available, we would have definitely requested a complete refund. We won't be returning!!!

We had a one night stay at this hotel and it was nothing but excellent. The host was so friendly and welcoming. She was there for anything we needed. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was lovely! The rooms were big and spacious, we were provided with a heater as it was extra cold that night which we really appreciated! The rooms could do with a refresh as they are a bit dated, but the host did say they are going through a take over, so we’re excited to see what they do with it. We will definitely be back!!

The person who writes these nice comments, must have rose tinted glasses on. With hand on my heart,my husband and myself, booked in , in December for a new year break. We arrived there, went in and came out and left. The kitchen had been flooded. One nice lady there running the place, no other staff. No food menu, the room was cold and damp. The headboard on the bed was ripped, and the place, it's self was not exactly clean.. in fact I am surprised it is still advertising..
