Stayed here for a night. I don't honestly know what the issue is with rude staff. Everyone we interacted with at reception, the bar or the restaurant were very customer focused and made our stay very pleasant. The food in the restaurant was very good both evening meal and breakfast and it's a great location.

Honestly, if I was a pettier person, I’d give this place one star. However, for the sake of being objective and fair, it’s a three. The room itself was surprisingly nice. Clean, spacious, with what looked like a newly renovated bathroom. The bed is a little short for anyone over 5ft6, but oh well—we still had a good sleep. Short kings will love the beds here.Now. The staff. I was a little surprised at how unwelcoming they were. We felt like a nuisance for even deigning to walk through the doors. The kitchen staff were friendly, but the front desk guy and, later, a middle-aged woman, emitted a dark and sinister energy. I felt like I received psychic damage from being within a ten-foot radius of them. They were actively rude, impatient, and spoke like we were idiots for asking a single question. There was an older cleaning lady there as well that radiated similar evil energy. We left feeling frazzled, frustrated, and with a bitter taste in our mouths.Oh, and the food was mediocre and over priced. There are cute local places around the area with really great service though!

The rooms were beautifully decorated, everything was very clean and with very high standards. We were welcomed with gifts in the bathroom, Scottish water, tea, tasty cookies and coffee in the room. Breakfast is included in the price and is served as a buffet. The food was good, although, as is common throughout the UK, it lacked spices. There is a nearby Asian fast food if you want to eat spicy food on a bench with a sea view.Parking is okay and free for hotel guests, but the access is not wheelchair accessible (check photos from other reviews). All in all, we were very satisfied with the accommodation and would recommend this hotel.

The downstairs rooms appear to have been recently upgraded and are nicely appointed. The staff are very nice and responsive. The breakfast was well prepared and filling. Parking is a challenge, and the location off the Isle of Skye is a bit distracting.

First I want to say the staff we did meet where great. However you don't go to a hotel for the staff. Out of all the hotels I booked in Scotland, this was the second worst. The only reason it was okay is because it was clean enough for me to sleep in. That standard is pretty low. There were stains on the sheets. Now for everything else. The building is pretty run down, I don't expect much from an old sea town, but at the bare minimum, you can fix and replace interior things. Like I said, the sheets were stained, and everything was just old and broken or not working well. There isn't enough parking if the hotel gets booked out, and the room walls are so thin I could hear my neighbor brushing his teeth. (Not exaggerating). The little bridge from the parking lot to the building was rusted so bad it had holes, I don't think it was safe, but I'm no expert on bridges. The rooms were very small, and the bathroom was even smaller. This I don't blame them for just wanted to add to my review just so whoever reads this will know. Also the location was not the best, you can see the water but it is in the middle of town so you view the sea through buildings and trees. If you are on the correct side. Honestly, just book in broadford. There are tons of places, and then you don't have to drive in.

Great location for being a driver/guide on the Isle of Skye. Large car park giving peace of mind for parking at the end of a long day. My bedroom and bathroom were immaculate with complimentary coffee/tea/biscuits and toiletries. Wonderful service, especially in the bar with Pin and Linsey and Grumpy Dave. ||Would 100% recommend.
