This is definitely the most complete, refined and best located option on the Isle of Skye. The magnificent views of the Raasay Strait and the Cuillin mountain range from the restaurant and gardens are magnificent. …

Wonderful location, overlooking the town of Portree. The rooms are standard but the tea/ coffee collection and the bathroom amenities are exclusive. Get a sea view room, preferably on the top floor, but no elevators. …

Popped in for a drink as friends had given us a voucher. Connor at the bar really made us feel welcome with good chat and great service even when he was the only one on during a busy service. Great selection of alcohol and non alcoholic drinks, and the view is outstanding - we even managed to have a drink outside to enjoy it.

Had a fantastic 3 nts stay, September '24. Hotel is lovely and beautifully restored and maintained. Waterfront location is stunning and a short walk to the town center. Front desk, bar, and restaurant staff are focused on a high standard of customer service. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Food in the restaurant is very good. Highly recommend.

One if not the best places to stay in the Scottish Highlands. The staff were exceptionally professional and so helpful. The views are exceptional.I commend the owners on taking pride in keeping many of the amenities of the past. What impressed me is to know that the staff felt the hotel was home and it truly showed in their enthusiasm.

Stayed here three times in five years - In an attempt to modernize, the sitting room has lost much of its charm, a GOOD decorator would have updated the old Victorian look without resorting to modern furniture etc. in what is an historic …

We stayed here one night and the location is incredible! The view is the best, absolutely the best. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable. Our room had a nice view but the shower doesn’t have a door so water splashed everywhere on the floor. We appreciated the signs from town directing us to the hotel which made it easy to get to. The checkin process was very quick and friendly. We ordered food in the bar and ate it on the lawn with drinks when we arrived and it was very relaxing. We had dinner in the restaurant and while the food was good, the service was quite poor. The waitress forgot to put in the order for one of our main dishes, rarely checked on us or refilled water glasses or asked to get us more drinks… that definitely was not a good experience for us.The breakfast was good- many hot and cold options.Parking was easy. It was a great spot to go and explore the Isle of Skye!We would definitely consider staying here again.

We spent 3 weeks all over Scotland & England, staying at 4 & 5 star places & this was our favorite. We had a lovely room, all the staff were very friendly & helpful, the food was excellent. It’s a quick walk into town yet you feel secluded & the view was to die for. We would go back in a heartbeat.
