We had our joint 30th party at the Fullarton suite on 24th August. The venue itself was nice, the buffet was good and the DJ was amazing the whole night - he had the dance floor full! …

PlusesThere was a bar serving food, and also food being served in the dining area. The food was excellent although pricy, as seems to be the case in most places in Scotland. Staffs were friendly. The beds were very comfy and there were clean towels. However, there were no toiletries. The price for the room was very good, and the hotel was well located east of Glasgow.MinusesHowever, the premises indicated being smoke free, while we could clearly smell cigarette smoke getting in, the place. Also there was a mention of a light breakfast included in the price. There was indeed but staff present at that time seemed surprised when we asked what was on offer, but kindly made toasts for us and there were also cereals available, although just one brand. The shared toilet outside the bedroom on the floor were absolutely disgusting. The toilet bowls were dirty with excrements. One ceiling light was not working in a cubicle toilet, and there was no toilet paper left the next morning. One can expect to have always access to a clean bathroom.

Extremely friendly staff in the pub, free parking and access to public transport to the city centre, private room and bathroom was excellent with toiletries and tea/coffee provided, currently being renovated so some cracks in ceiling but nothing of concern.Overall a great place to stay

DO. NOT. BOOK.Nothing has changed in over a year it seems, looking at previous reviews. Absolutely no hot water. One of the two toilets for the 6 shared rooms was not functional. Loud music played throughout the night. Didn't stay the night as they wouldn't fix the hot water issue. Asked for a refund, but not holding my breath.

Great location, and fair price but not the cleanest place… The Lady on who served our breakfast was amazing! She saved our trip with her warm heart, and all the kind words.

Intimidating entrance through busy pub to get to room, which in itself was dingy, curtains hanging off and paint peeling off walls, carpets needed a good clean. Noisy pub till late. Staff friendly enough though. Breakfast a disaster, not even tea was hot
