A great overnight stay on our LEJOG cycling trip. We arrived wet and cold and were delighted to find a warm and comfortable room. Great dinner, beer and breakfast. They even offer a laundry service for a fee - a great option for cyclists. Great hospitality and good value - thanks Rob and team

Wonderful spot to stay at! Jason the owner is a fantastic host and very friendly. Our family of four stayed here two nights and couldn’t be more impressed with Jason and his staff, everyone was very kind and helpful and made us feel very comfortable. The restaurant and breakfast area were also excellent and the location of the place can’t be beat, we will definitely return to stay here again 👍🏻👍🏻

We stayed for three nights as my husband was doing the Dirty Reiver event in Kielder Forest. The room was really comfortable and the owners were so welcoming and friendly. We ate in the hotel for the three nights as the food was delicious and a very good menu. Would definitely stay here again.

Went to vist a family member that's just moved to the town, popped in for a drink and food as it's her local, friendly, welcoming and good value for money. I had a 16oz steak with all the trimmings, cooked to perfection rare and the peppercorn sauce was just amazing. Will be back again definitely, and will be booking a room too. The service was amazing from the staff.

Great place to stay. Two brothers run this hotel and are most welcoming and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The evening meal we had on arrival was delicious and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff are very nice and the service is great. The hotel is bigger than it looks from the outside with rooms up and down small stairs and an interesting interior. Lovely village setting and great history in the area. Walking round the village after our meal, the locals were friendly and approachable when asking for directions to the local castle ruins and even passing people in the street said hood evening to us. Would definitely stay there again.

A wonderful one night spent here. Room was clean with lovely fluffy white towels and comfy bed. The food was amazing and we spent the night in the bar with the locals who were very friendly and chatted away to us while they were playing pool. I would have no hesitation in returning if I am in the area even it is just for food.
