Reasonable value. Clean rooms, large bathrooms. But: bed was **** hard and breakfast was not offered until 9am. Who waits to 9am to eat breakfast?! And no other options nearby. The lunch and dinner menus were quite limited, but the food was good. Some great walking trails nearby.

We entered our room in the main hostel building (room 1) after negotiating our way through the many doors and through the communal lounge area, to find stains on the wall including brown splats with dried drips by the bunk bed both by the …

Beds were awful, very creaky and felt the springs. Wouldn’t recommend staying in the hall. Needs a good lick of paint too. Updating the place it would be a lovely place to stay.

We stayed for a weekend. Lovely place. A lot to see and great places to visit. Try winding up the amazing scenic route to Balmoral. Very professional and kind staff.

Insh Hall was a great cheaper alternative to a chalet for our family of 4. The room is quite small but doable for 3 nights and has a private bathroom. The location is amazing, on the loch with fantastic kids facilities. Some food availability at the hall would be great with some basic cooking facilities.

Amazing trip to Loch Insh for new year. Staying in the craggenmore chalet which was ideal for what we wanted. Clean comfortable with a stunning view over the Loch. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Great activities and food. …

Quiet place and next to the lake, nice view and perfect for out door activity. Suggest to be arrival in day time, the location fare away from major traffic, night time no light on the roadside, you need to drive in the dark.

Perfect for a few days of water sports, and other experiences in the area. The hall/lodge has a restaurant by the loch for breakfast and other meals. We stayed in B&B section but there are also self catering chalets. Our room was for 4 with ensuite bathroom but it was really cramped so great to have communal are nearby.

Please read before booking -I booked room for one night in Insh hall during our Scotland trip last week. Location and generally place looked fine but rooms are very dated and not sure how much cleanliness is maintained.I slept on bunk bed and I now have boils / rashes all over my hands. I am 99% sure I have got it from there as I started getting them after stay there.I am still trying to figure out what these are and going to see GP soon. Please be careful.
