Room was filthy, bathroom had mold in the shower and dirt in the vent, toilet dirty and no bathroom door. Cup was also dirty. Really run down inside. Very noisy, single glazing with 2 beer gardens directly underneathe. The place should be shut down, or at least inspected by environmental health.

Do not expect a quiet night, especially at the weekend.A Saturday night: Busy bar downstairs was open until 02:30 playing loud music. It wasn't until gone 3am the revellers had dispersed and I was able to get some sleep.Room was comfortable and clean and had everything I needed. WiFi included but was a bit ropey.Cooked Breakfast helped offset the sleep deprivation on the following day.Would I stay again, only on a week night.

Yes the hotel looks dated and the area is down by the River but the welcome is genuine and the owner and staff are very attentive. The breakfast as others have noted is very very good indeed. …

A very good stay in the White Hart. Whilst it appears a bit run down our bedroom was large and clean and the enormous bed comfortable. The shower was brilliant and the breakfast excellent. …

Went for a couple drinks, walked in and loud music threw me for a loop. 8/9 of us at most and music up full blast, at that point why not just okay music and have a pint yourself? It was unnecessarily loud and I couldn’t even hear my partner right beside and even when being shouted at across the bar, couldn’t hear a single word. It's a shame because decent selection of drinks, well kept pool table and a nice owner (i think) if the music hadn't been so loud, we definitely would have stayed all night. We left early for another bar because none of us liked the music or how loud it was, and stayed there until 12:30 ish

Booked this for a cheap one night stover whilst at a squash competition. Environment was not the best and music was quite loud but room was spotless and had everything I needed. Biggest surprise was when I got organized to leave and discovered breakfast was included. Breakfast was perfect. Classic fry up but perfectly executed and top quality ingredients.

Yes it's a pub, but the price and location are excellent, i stayed Saturday night and had no noise issues except from the seagulls. £2.90 a pint. 5 minutes radius from everything Dumfries has to offer, not a lot! …
