Staff very helpful, lovely tasty breakfast...but no Lorne sausage? We are in Scotland and should be served at breakfast as it's traditional. Have tattie scones black pudding haggis but no Lorne? Why not? My only gripe. As I said staff are friendly and welcoming and very helpful. Location is perfect. Thankyou Arrochar Hotel we will be back.

Great value for money. All the staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful, including catering for vegan and gluten-free dietary requirements.Of course the decor and specifications of the rooms could be upgraded, but then it would be more expensive. We were very happy with our stay, particularly as we were lucky enough to have a room with a loch view! Our only gripe would be the noisy plumbing whenever neighboring rooms were using water. We heartily recommend this hotel and would definitely come back.

The hotel is right at the lake and offers from the front side a pleasant view on the lake and its surroundings. The interior is somewhat dark and reflects British tradition. …

Stayed here for a night as part of a weekend break from the city, attracted by the property's promise of 'an idyllic tranquil hideaway to relax and unwind'. Was then kept awake until after 11pm by over two hours of live music coming from the hotel bar that was so loud I could hear every word of every song, despite my room being on the 2nd floor.Emailed to complain after my stay and in response I was told by the hotel manager that 'I do not think that music finishing between 10:30pm and 11:00pm is unreasonable'.When booking, please be aware that this property has already decided what time you will be allowed to go to sleep at.Nice views.

Room was tidy ,nothing special but don’t go at all as you run the risk of being bitten and hotel do nothing about it.A woman sat near my wife who then brought her jack Russell up on the sofa-for no reason it snapped and bit her on the hand.Throughout the night it barked at other dogs and lunged for a waiter. So I thought pets policy at hotels would be well behaved dogs are welcome-but not here. When a complaint was made the manager tried to fob it off by passing the phone to the owner of the dog-a man who apologized that his wife was at fault for not controlling the dog and allowing it near people when he is aggressive. The managers statement said it’s a dog friendly hotel-Hamish was his name and he can’t be responsible if people sit near a dog who they have been informed was aggressive.Firstly that wasn’t the case a woman sat near my wife started talking and mentioned her jack Russell doesn’t like people-she then brought the dog on the sofa?so who is to blame there? Also are human beings who pay the money for rooms not more important than aggressive dogs? You shouldn’t allow dogs who are aggressive on your property it makes it uncomfortable for the other well behaved dogs and also humans. So if a random woman brings her dog up on a sofa after saying he doesn’t like people I should get up instantly? No she should keep it away from people and the hotel should remove if it is aggressive or tell the owner to only keep it in the trim with them.Would never be back with this managers attitude,or the fact he doesn’t see a problem with aggressive dogs in his hotel.

Had an overnight stay at the Arrochar Hotel recently, and I would say it offers great value for money. It's not the most luxurious hotel in the world, and it could do with some freshening up in terms of decor. But the rooms are clean and tidy, the staff are pleasant, and there are some amazing views down the loch and across to the mountains. For a short stay, I would thoroughly recommend.

Thank you, everyone - the six of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you last week. We had comfortable rooms, we all enjoyed our meals and received a very warm welcome! The views across the Loch at sunset were stunning and the hotel was easy to find.

Large Hotel in the perfect place. Wonderful staff very friendly and helpful. Great food in the restaurant or the bar. the room a single with private shower and toilet. Was clean and tidy but in desperate need of decorating.very dated and let the hotel down. I know its pretty but the room was in dire need, and looked shabby. Otherwise I would have given 10/10Will I stay again YES
