We were in the Highlands for the NC500 and despite the hotel not being on the route it was relatively easy to get there and back on fantastic driving roads. Staff very helpful and welcoming, rooms comfortable and well appointed. …

Dine in for dinner only: loved this place. Simple, friendly, excellent food and good prices. Make a reservation if you aren't staying there! Ate there my two nights in town and both times had the steak pie. Outstanding. (Wifi in the dining room was really fast and strong)

The hotel is a little scruffy from the outside but the actual bedrooms are very nice and modern. Parking right in front of hotel. We ate in the lounge bar and the food was excellent. Breakfast was a little greasy but was freshly cooked and hot. Would definitely recommend.

Not been here for a while and the proprietors have made big efforts to keep this place up to date. This must be difficult in winter when visitors are few. We stayed one night in November and our room was modern, comfortable and the whole hotel was warm. Good facilities, including USB ports for charging. We had dinner which had several choices, although simple bar menu type items (but roast venison if you like) at average prices. The dining area a bit "bright" for some. Keg beers with choice were fine, so too were the wines. Lots of whisky choices if you prefer. We didn't venture into the bar. Simple freshly cooked breakfasts with pre-ordered choice. A rural highland hotel with friendly and helpful staff on a cold night!

Dropped in for morning tea and served by delightfully polite smiling staff. Coffee was brewed and very good. Shortbread was very Scottish and tasty. Shame about the scones (plain and fruit) which were at least a day old. …
