Room was good, clean and comfortable. The food was good. My only complaint was that the woman who seemed to be running the hotel took was sneezing and coughing all over the place. She took no precautions to prevent spreading her germs. …

We turned up on the day with no booking and there was no trouble getting a room for the night. Karen and her team looked after us really well. …

Our room was across the road from the main building and reception desk. The check-in person was courteous and helpful. Parking is limited and we parked right up against the main building, only a few feet from the highway. …

What a fantastic place! Great service, nice people, comfortable beds, beautiful views. Lovely and quiet and food was to die for! I bought some things to make sandwiches in my room, but when I saw the menu in the bar, I booked the table and could not be happier - hats off to the chef:) I recommend the Seaview John O'Groats Hotel to everybody, and even if you aren't there for the night, you must go to the bar to grab something to eat. I had a great time, thank you:)

Stayed opposite hotel and our view was of a wall 3 feet away from the window. Hardly a Seaview. That said though the room was clean although very dated and bed wasn’t really comfortable. Staff and service was really nice and friendly and the breakfast was just what was needed. Evening meal was average and overall don’t think it was worth what we paid for the night.

Good nights sleep - quiet, comfy bed, lashings of hot water. Lovely staff, good food. Not stylish or up to date, back a practical, pleasant choice. Welcoming.

Clean and comfortable room. As expected for a budget hotel it was basic and a bit worn about the edges. We ate in the hotel that night. There were only 2 options for vegetarians, burger and macaroni cheese. We opted for the macaroni cheese which was very pleasant. The following morning we had the vegetarian breakfast which was filling and set us up for the next part of our journey.

Garlic mushrooms were the best! Plenty of meat in the beef and ale pie, mash was okay and peas and carrots. Hubby said the fish and chips was really good. Good portions. Good selection of whiskeys. Decor looks fresh and clean.
