This is a lovely old fashioned hotel. I would say could be more described as a good B & B. We had a family room which was a double and single bed. There was not much spare room in the room but two lovely old windows looking over the High Street. Breakfast and the host were delightful in the old dining room. A good feed and a good Highland welcome as described. It's important to understand that you can't check in till after 4pm. We had missed this instruction and the hotel is shut until 4pm. Also there is no lift so you will have to walk up two flights of stairs or potentially 3 to your room. Superb location, good price and you are given a key for the front door which is handy if you're coming home late.

Attended a funeral in Nairn and had to make a late booking for 2 nights. Booked an ensuite room and was delighted with the accommodation. Place was absolutely spotless. …

Had a lovely weekend at The Waverly. This hotel is wonderfully situated in the centre of Nairn. Rooms are very clean and bed very comfortable. Denise who owns and runs this hotel, is such a character with lots of local knowledge, great sense of humour and I will definitely return.

This was the worse experience of my life! The place is falling apart. It is old and it stinks of dead corps. I had a panic attack and cried because I didn’t feel like a decent treatment for a human being to be there. It is creepy and scary, felt like a horror movie. the atmosphere is heavy. Something dark happens in this place and the good reviews are made up. The city is also not nice and this place is defo a scam for robbery. Please shut down this abandoned house. No security door is opened to anyone. No reception no nothing.

We stayed one night and enjoyed a spotlessly clean room, an excellent breakfast and a truly friendly welcome, over and above this we left our bag by mistake and found that Denise had waited in all day in case we returned. …
