The evening menu food was really tasty. I had vegetable risotto which is as good as I've ever had. The sticky toffee pudding was exceptional- rich, sponge with plenty caramel sauce and a caramelised date - yum. My daughter had chicken curry which was beautifully presented and had a lovely flavour.

The Murryfield Hotel was wonderful. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the property was well maintained. We visited while on a group tour of Edinburgh for 2 nights. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. Very nice place to rest after exploring the city. Would highly recommend.

I encountered very friendly and helpful staff at this hotel. Especially, Kylie who posted my very first postcard for me. She also took good care of our tour group buffet breakfast. Rooms were a bit tight, but cozy.

Great Hotel and lovely food in the booty! Service was top and super friendly. Very charming and clean rooms. We loved the location a little bit outside of the center. a bus station with regularly deiving buses is just there and it just takes you around 10 to 15 minutes. But if you‘d like to stay in the center this is not your hotel.

Pat was fantastic, the food was top notch and the service and atmosphere was so wonderful. We really enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese as well as the artisan bread. The service was fast but not rushed and everything came out perfectly. Highly recommend!

Big comfortable room in a mansion style hotel. Spacious bathroom with bathtub. Helpful & pleasant staff. Our room was on first floor and there was no lift, they helped shift our suitcases to the room. It's located in a peaceful area away from from Royal Mile so one needs to take taxi or public transport each time.

Been staying here regularly for the last 2 years for work. First visit was in a beautiful room in the building away from the main hotel, room was big and the bathroom had a bath and I really enjoyed my stay. BUT every visit since then the price has been getting higher and the rooms I've been allocated are smaller and smaller but for a higher price. Some rooms have hardly any space to walk and some are very aged and worn out, things broken around the room, showers with no water pressure etc. Breakfast is hardly ever included in the high price you pay, I have to either pay £30 more for the room to get breakfast which I can pay £15 for on the day. Breakfast is by order but for £15 you can order 1 item off the menu. My last visit I only had toast and coffee and didn't order a hot breakfast and they had the cheek to charge me £11.35. My main gripe is that they are charging high prices for a 3 star hotel without breakfast and without any facilities such as gym etc going forward will be booking the village hotel as its cheaper, newer rooms, breakfast included and they also have, swimming pool, gym, sauna etc sorry but it's a no brainer for me. I paid £160 with no breakfast and a shoe box sized room. Only worth it if under £100
