The fact that they were able to accept our woof was great.

Lovely staff, very basic room. Great Lake view. KiNG size bed is a plus. WiFi is absolutely laughable, unable to watch TV. No frills. No decaf tea or coffee. But I'd stay again. It was easy, very clean. Perfectly fine for somewhere to crash in the middle of a long journey. đź‘Ťđź‘Ť

Stopped here on route to Edinburgh. Lovely staff at front desk, nice clean large rooms,Comfy beds. Rooms either overlook car park or lake, so was able to keep an eye on my van. Very handy for M74, if arriving evening and you're not a McD's fan, I would advise to eat beforehand.

Stayed on the way up to the Highlands and have used before. Hotel looks tired internally and needs an upgrade. But, otherwise, easy to hop over to the services next door for breakfast. Lake view rooms give good views, or, it's a view of the car park!

My partner and I stayed here for two nights and used the accessible room as I'm predominantly a wheelchair user but I can furniture walk if needed. There was definitely enough space to move around in my wheelchair, which was great, however I had a few problems with my stay. The bathroom was spacious enough to wheel around and I was glad to see handles and railing to help you along with two red emergency cords. However, the room had a bath and shower combo (Ă la 1950s) which meant freshening up was very difficult. Normally if there is an accessible bathroom, you have a wet room with a shower chair, or a bath with a ledge at one end you can sit on to transfer and then move yourself in/out of the bath, but I was unable to do this as the toilet roll holders were wall mounted and blocking the only small ledge present that I could use. This ledge was also so small that even if the rolls weren't blocking me, I would have found it hard to sit anyway. Sitting on the side edge of the bath is precarious and although there were handles, I was having to reach and stretch my body which also made it harder to transfer independently. It felt like more of an exercise in yoga than a relaxing evening scrub down. My partner assisted in getting me into the bath, so I could have a shower, but getting out was even tougher as there was nowhere for me to pull myself out without falling backwards and my partner resorted to fireman's lifting me out to safety. We booked this trip to bring us closer, but this really wasn't what I had in mind. The sink was at a good height for wheelchair users, but there was no plug in the sink, just a large drainage hole with no grate which meant I was anxious to brush my teeth or get ready in the bathroom in case I had a spasm and accidentally sacrificed my toothbrush to the unknown depths of the black hole. I know this is a budget friendly hotel, but it just felt like accessibility was an afterthought. When I attempted to pull the main door to our room open from the inside it took a lot of wiggling on my part to do it and the door was heavy. Again, my partner had to assist to help me in/out of the room. The main doors to the hotel have a ramp, but the heavy front doors were not automatic so my partner had to heave them and help me manoeuvre through them as if I had tried to do them myself, I would have gotten stuck very quickly with only the spiders relaxing on their webs in the windows for moral support. Again, I understand this is a budget friendly hotel, so I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but some independence would have made the stay more enjoyable.

Lovely stop over on our drive to from Wales to Scotland. Nice spacious rooms, comfy beds, good facilities and friendly service. Dog friendly. Wonderful lake and greeneryTo the back too for beautiful dog walks, and services next door are all dog friendly.

Large, comfortable room. Quiet, no noise from the road. Nice setting with lake and walk for dogs. Friendly greeting. Large comfortable bed. Sink taps did spurt rather! No complaints at all. Nearby facilities such as Costa and Macdonalds.

Used this as a stop off during a drive further south||We received a very friendly and warm welcome on arrival. Check in was efficient||Our lake facing room with a small balcony was well equipped, clean and comfortable, there was no traffic noise and the hotel was quiet through the night||We would defo stay here again
